Speed of the forum

Hello all dearest members,

Recently I get some complains about the speed of the forum.
I want to know how you feel about it, especially those not in Hong Kong.
Please vote.

This site is blocked by the idiots in Thailand and I have to use xb browser to access this site through a proxy server somewhere in Europe.

I'll have to take my vote back.

I have noticed a downturn of speed downloading and waiting for the links to open can take ages.

UK.

Punting is good for you.
Not sure if it's doing the wallet any good though!

to really check the speed there are many factors involved;

1. time
2. number of users online
3. download and upload speed
4. etc

I have no direct access to the Internet since all connections go through a local proxy and in addition, they might limit the download speed

Definitely slower than before for me here in the US. I have noticed that ever since I returned from my stay in HK earlier this year.

This slowdown seems especially in the evening hrs in HK. I logged in around 11pm HK time, and the regular 141 site db with the ladies downloaded fine. But when I switched to the forum, the forum welcome page took a long time to complete downloading (minutes).

Now - at 1:30 am HK time - everything seems to have sped up.

Edit:

Oops, not so. I finished my post and submitted it.... took about 60 secs to submit, then another minute to refesh the page...looks like my previous page was cached.

with the traffic increasing, it makes sense

I "think" the forum and the database are using 2 servers
and maybe they can be cached to improve speed;

First time back after a haitus (business travel), and the speed is MUCH iproved. It is FAST now! Thanks!

PS I just noticed there are now US and Asia Route links in the main page. I assume those are the two servers now - pne overseas... and when I swtiched to the US route - wooo that is blazing fast guys! Now I can see the 141 cuties hires pics in an instant!

works fine for me in america

only thing that slows me down is how often it ask me if i am 18
seems to do that for every girls liink i try to open

The speed is reasonably good, although it slows up a bit when refreshing through the DB. Otherwise not too bad.
