Yep, do it all the time. in my experience, the days just before and the first day of a girl's period is when they are the horniest. With regular girls I know, they will just put a towel down and a joint shower afterwards just takes care of everything. With girlfriends, some of them were initially grossed out by the concept, but when they start doing it they think you're a saint because you will accept them even when they are "unclean". If you dim the lights and do it in the shower its fine. That way you won't see the blood which I didn't. Loved the fact that you could shoot inside. With GF only of course! Not WGs or anyone else for that matter.

I've done it many times and that's because I was making out with the girl knowing it's her time but I usually let her decide if she wants to go ahead with intercourse or not with no pressure from me and usually the lights are dimmed considerably and towels are used on the bed.
