It's been awhile since I went to Rainbow in TST Energy Plaza, almost 12 months given that I've been going to Oriental Spa in Auto Plaza more over the last year. Rainbow used to be my favorite as its girls tended to provide very good massage and tended to be skilled in parts 2/3, as well as being more affordable in terms of price for the extras. However since Oriental Spa and OPS opened, the better rainbow girls may have gone to the newer places (given higher prices). Many of my old favorites/regulars also returned to the Mainland so there was no real reason to go. I also miss the old Xocat forum with the legendary thread on Rainbow that stayed active for more than 10 years providing recommendations and reviews. I heard someone say that these days they were trying to recruit younger masseuses so decided to give it a visit and see what's up.

Well, the place has been renovated a bit to compete with the newer establishments. But the feel remains quite old school. The same two familiar floor manageresses in the sitting room are still there. I half expected they might have hired some beauticians or younger foot masseuses like OPS/OSS but they have stuck with the older, more experienced types. Overall, it's comfy, familiar and "old school". The manageress recommended me a girl based on what she knew about my previous regulars.

When I went into the room, the girl was not bad. She was medium height (not short), fair skinned, seemed well-proportioned and very attentive. She did seem to be late-20s (or early-30s). In the past a lot of girls would be mid-late 30s (some older) and early-30s would be rare. She said she was late-20s (take with a pinch of salt lol) but she did say that there were some "younger" girls there these days and some regular old hands supposedly have retired. I can't verify that of course until I go more often.

The massage was good, she has pretty good skills. When it came to the second part, she was pretty open and told me it was still $1k for FS. I'm so surprised that they have kept this price even to this day. At OPS and OSS that is what you pay for a HJ lol. You would have to pay way way more to convince a girl to do more than that in OSS. I'm surprised that a place like Rainbow can keep up its business at these prices for the girls. I guess they are aiming for a "lower" market. And the regulars who go to Rainbow are loyal and used to this pricing and they are reluctant to upset their regular customers. Anyway, the girl was active and eager to please, and it was a good session. She has a well-proportioned body but probably B-breasts. I find I get more thrill and excitement from pulling off an FS with a girl in OSS VIP rooms lol (although a shit-ton more expensive haha).

One nice thing is that the girls in Rainbow tend not to wear pants underneath their short skirts like at OSS. It's really nice to feel up their ass and thighs when they have a t-back on. Anyway, that's an update of the place based on a recent visit. I will try to go a couple more times to check more of the new girls. If any brothers have any good recommendations, please share! God how I miss that old Xocat thread. Come to think of it, I would also really like to find another old regular of mine who is supposedly still there (A**a, who is "younger" and has large boobs, enhanced though).

Rainbow was my go to place during the millennium (again introducedby the xocat forum).  The price hasn't gone up much but I don’t think they are aiming for the lower market.  They got a few deep pocket and generous customers who spent at the shop like there's no tomorrow.  And the celebrities too.  I didn't partake in FS a lot but it was $1K even in 2007, some 15 years ago.

She was Ah Bing from Island Sauna. Still quite pretty. Haven’t been back to Rainbow since 2019.

One thing I like about Rainbow is their cold plunge is the coldest in Hong Kong. Some places the cold plunge is like a hot bath to me

Yes there were celebs who used to go there. I was a regular there for a long time before. Thought those celebs moved to the newer establishments already.

OMG.  It's a small world.   Belle was my favorite of the time.  She allowed limited access to everything but somehow I fell for her.  She had been trying to get into dancing as a profession and I hope she made it.  I am walking past the building everyday in the last few weeks (I am staying at a nearby hotel) and always wonder if I would bumped into her.  I really hope not.

We went out for a Japanese dinner shortly before she "disappeared" and I brought a bottle of Pichon Baron 2000 and a bottle of premium white and she had about 1 1/2 bottles.  She fell asleep in my car and I parked the car at her home while she slept.  She was definitely not drunk.  That lasted for 30 minutes and a lot of thoughts went through my mind.  

Some months ago, someone in the forum mentioned the name Belle at Rainbow and I was tempted to drop by to find out .  But deep down, I wish her well and never want to see her back.

Belle was quite good to me with good access. But she really is quite old now but she still looks good. Her smile is sweet and she looks like a Japanese girl sometimes with one tooth a bit bent. Sweet eyes. And she is local so the conversation is quite pleasant.
But I prefer Ah C and Ah Hung from Island Sauna. Ah C looked like Gillian Chung with girl next door look but her fucking skills were brilliant. Ah Hung would do BBBj in the room and swallow every last drop. That took me by surprise the first time and she asked me to get up and stand up to BBBj me.

Rainbow has been my go-to place for years, and you are right that it has stayed the same. It doesn't feel really old, but it certainly doesn't seem new either. The only change that I can think of is that a few years ago the average age of the massage girls went up a few years, but the overall service also improved. So it's reliably good, and I can only think of one or two times in the last few years that it has been disappointing.

Compared to Oriental Spa, a stone's throw away, Rainbow seems in a different age. I guess if Rainbow were to open a new shop, it would look like Oriental Spa. It feels quite fancy, and the masseurs are younger and all good looking. I've only been a few times - partly because the pricing is a little confusing, and also because it seems that FS is not on offer.

But both these saunas feel a bit of a dying breed. I wouldn't be surprised if Rainbow just shut down one day (though it always seems fairly busy). And I doubt that we will see another joint like Oriental opening anytime soon.

Would be good to hear some more reviews of saunas like Rainbow and OSS here.  Seems most of the reviews are about the smaller saunas. There are some older reviews of Oriental Spa here where you can see stuff about the VIP rooms.

Mister - OS is not part of OPS, only one of thepartners of OPS is a partner there the other partners are the previous owners of the now defunct VIP sauna

The path leading to the private rooms at OSS are a bit like from a 007 movie. The rooms themselves have a built in shower. However not every room has a sink where they have mouth wash. What you do in the room is entirely up to you and size of your wallet. Private rooms allow you to bypass the public changing area. These are popular with movie stars and taipans.

What's the cost of a private room + FS at Oriental spa autoplaza? That whole thing did intrigue me a bit but usually have stayed at OPS for now

It’s around 1488 for the room and 2 hours massage if you get to know a bg who can sign you in. This means the girl has prepaid a package and you just pay her cash. She will settle the room fees with OSS. Otherwise you need to purchase a package to use VIP rooms.  FS costs depends on bg. Some charge 2k extra. Some charge 5k.
