I would also consult a travel agent for details. Hopefully some at Shun Tak Centre still operate.

According to the above website, visitors from Hong Kong "need to undergo 14 days of medical observation at Treasure Hotel and 7 days of strict health self-management after entering Macao."

Again, check the latest information.

Besides the medical quarantine requirements, starting from May 8, travelers from Hong Kong will have to pay for 8 PCR tests during quarantine. The cost is 2000 MOP. Travelers must pay for the tests before entering Macau.

About the sauna, Darling 2, Supreme, Rio and Big Boss have been closed. East spa at Waldo are now called M club.

My friend there told me that there is only 2 quarantine hotel which are already fully booked so need to confirm a hotel before.

Then again 7 days if back to HK after.

Better do a trip to Bangkok or Singapore than Macau

Lots of sauna in macau are closing . Last week been to Rio already closed .went to 18 Sauna only few girl from Vietnam and PRC.

JtB, please confirm Thailand is now open without quarantine and the bars are back in full swing

@flowmon if you are fully vaccinated, you can get in without quarantine, but you do need to apply for a Thai pass if you're a non-Thai national.

Make sure you have a paper copy of the Thai pass and all the docs required for the pass application too (test certificates, proof of medical insurance, etc.) They will check at border control and it will be a lot easier if you have the paper copies.

Edit: forgot to mention. last week the bars were open (we stayed mainly around Soi 11), but everything closed at midnight. Same with Thermae, although you can pick up bargains outside after closing time! I heard clubs were reopening on the 19th, but I'm no longer there to confirm. Bobo was definitely open last weekend though, along with Havana Social, if you're into the civvie/touristy scene.

Really hope Macau can get back to the good old days. Some of the things you can do there, but nowhere else in the world.

It just got relased the other day but Macao is allwoing people to come over now from the mainland including forigners and no quarantine on either side of the border, just got to do multipule tests for a couple of days.

Can we get another update from any Macau locals on the current situation please?  Border rules changed yesterday so now I'm considering going, mostly to gamble.  Hoeever, I love me some sauna time when I need a break.

If anyone knows, please let us know which saunas are still alive. Last update said Darling 1 and Golden were still around, but others like Rio had died.  Obviously it is too early for any new knes

Also, would be good to know what the girls are like.  I'm gonna assume it is only chinese girls in the saunas but would be good to know if any have any other types of girls and what the quality of the girls is like.

For those who are unaware (including me):

Starting today (December 23), people arriving in Macau either from overseas, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, will no longer need to undergo any type of quarantine. That is according to an update from the city’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, published yesterday (Thursday, December 22).

The measure covers those living in Macau, whether Macau ID holders or non-holders of Macau ID. It also covers visitors.

Inbound travellers will still have to undergo five days of so-called “self-management” of their health.

Under the new inbound arrangements, people intending to enter Macau either from overseas, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, must hold a nucleic acid test certificate issued within 72 hours proving they are ‘negative’ for Covid-19 infection. On arrival, travellers will no longer need to undertake a fresh nucleic acid test.

During the five-day period of “self-management” of their health, the inbound traveller’s electronic health code will be ‘yellow’, meaning they cannot enter certain places including government offices. Previously, people arriving to Macau from either overseas, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, were assigned a ‘red’ health code, meaning they had to undergo some sort of quarantine.

Restaurants and leisure facilities – which is understood to include casinos – can decide whether they allow inside their premises any guests with a ‘yellow’ health code.

The inbound travellers will be required to do a rapid antigen test daily, during the five-day period of “self-management” of their health. Provided the five-day period has been completed with ‘negative’ results each day, the individual’s health code will turn ‘green’ and they will be able to move freely inside Macau, stated the local health authorities.

People arriving in Macau from either overseas, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, will however, not be allowed to travel to mainland China during the first eight days of their stay in Macau, according to the city’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre. But these travellers will be able to leave Macau at any time, if travelling either to Hong Kong, Taiwan, or overseas.

In other words, there is still too much hassle to bother to go.
Better options are Thailand

Apples and oranges.  People go to Macau to gamble.  Punting is secondary. Last I checked, Thailand doesn't have casinos
