First, APOLOGIES, running out of Ks.
Will give them to you @GwailoPlayer as soon as I get a refill!
We have very similar protocol
(saved of course for my regulars that I book by SMS (English only, but simple with Date-Time-How Long) or e-mail) 1 or 2 days before,
starting with
a) selecting from the database "targets" near-by with their phones, opening hours, costs...and #1, #2,...
as well as BACK UP (if total fail, that is generally a Thai massage where comprehensive services have been provided in the past)
b) when nearby ...at least 1/2h before the top of the hour, send SMS (English only) with ..."Time OK ?"... (to avoid misunderstanding)
to #1 ...wait 5mn, then another one...
If reply, then it's settled and I go.
Even if I don't like what I see when the door opens I walked in anyway....unless it is an outrageous Bait & Switch
(unusual with those indicating their address)
c) If no reply, when on site, I walk to my target list following my preference order.
d) If nothing works, then it's Thai massage.
Time wise, I try to avoid peak-hours, so it's more like ...before 12pm, maybe 11am ...or after 14:30
and factor in DAYS.
Honestly, while my Chinese is ~0, in usual nests, it was not bad at all.
Usual replies were:
"OK" or "xx:xx OK?" or some Chinese and some with no-reply.
Some years ago when, uncertain of my schedule, I could not book Jasmine, so I was sending a SMS when in the street.
In some cases, busy or out of her "office", the reply was "Not here. 13:30 OK?"
When my reply was "not OK", I was often getting "Go xF room xx now"...and I was.
It was always perfectly smooth as she had called the other lady to make sure I was getting a good service. It always was.
Days of the week:
Being rather "domestic" (sarcasms are ok
) and having day and time flexibility (subject to SO changing work schedule),
I asked my regulars ...WHICH DAYS were best for THEM,
trying to ADD business for them coming when quiet...instead of just trying to replace another potential guest (=> unchanged P&L for the lady).
What I have been told and makes some sense:
* Wednesday afternoon is generally quiet: Reason flagged = Races at Happy Valley,
* Early "birds" get worms...or early ladies get the brokers: That is Sheung Wan where generally ladies get the visits from finance guys working
in IFC, IFC2, Exchange Square,...
The consequence of that is more general: Their activity is often correlated with ...the Hang Seng Index!!
Stock market up (seriously) => more willing to spend $ with the ladies
Stock market down => the mood is not there...bad for ladies business
Stock market performance also impacts other businesses in town.
* A number of ladies are stock market ...traders or ...investors (with longer term time horizon)...so end of July, some were a bit gloomy
...then I realized they got hit by the drop in Chinese tech stocks listed on HKEx. One (not in HL) showed me her portfolio.
Oh dear.
It is worth factoring that in.
* Friday is always busy.
Don't know why, maybe because TGIF and week end ahead or "refillling battery"
stuck with SO.
* Day ladies vs. Night ladies:
Depending of the Flat (for nests) having a door or not, ladies time of activity can be different.
If NO DOOR to the Flat, there is high chance of guests knocking at the door at midnight or later ...therefore ladies starting later in the morning.
In Phoenix, ladies in Flat A like BO BO (A2) were ...last ladies standing
...as I think both (not sure) Sammi and Crystal are live out and flat H has a door with some live-out too
...so any zombie wondering around at midnight or later....would zoom on Flat A.
The same applies at Hing Loong where Lily's Flat (10F A2) has no door and being live-in she works late...and wakes up late,
while few floors bjust below Coco (4F A3) ...generally (recently she stayed in to minimize infection risk in MTR) is live-out.
* Sleeping time:
Depending on the quality of the building (stone age or recently refurbished)...and the noise of the A/C, the quality of ther sleep
of the live-in is affected impacting their opening hours.
