Why is it so expensive in Taipei?

The cost of living in Taipei is half of HK, yet punting is 2x as much. What gives?

All the hot girls exported to China/HK, etc.... The ones remaining.. since the cost of living is low and the girls are not trying to buy the next LV/Hermes bag, they don't need to do this kind of work to make money.... so you have really crap quality girls left who do this for pennies.. and then the hot girls who do this for money know they are in high demand, thus the high costs... that's just my thoughts after 10-12 times of punting in Taiwan... not worth it at all.. get way better quality for a fraction of the price in China...

Don't know anything about costs in Taiwan but a mate is currently there and went for a legit foot massage yesterday and was shown upstairs and offered a (his words) gorgeous Japanese looking girl who offered 2 hours of fun for 2500 TWD (massage cost of 1000TWD on top) that's approx HK$900. He did not take up the offer so what you get for that is still unknown

This was is Wanhua district which is a known red light district apparently.
