The following link is a report in the Chinese forum, which claims that a WG in Thermae was inflected by coronavirus. I do not
know how reliable is this report. However, better safe than sorry.

On the whole all I’ve really noticed is slightly more people wearing face masks. As I’m farang I can’t say what the girls reactions would be if you said you came from China but from what I can tell it’s pretty much business as normal although perhaps a bit quieter as I think a lot of Chinese have stayed away.

I did my last trip with zero success.  I just kept getting hit on by middle aged or non-attractive ladies.. I didn't even find any WGs.  Maybe I just suck at TF lol.. When you arrive use Line or WeChat, tons of girls will hit you up especially around Sukhumvit area.

Hey pooners,

I'm in BKK right now.

With Covid-19 on the news left and right, I haven't seen nearly as many Chinese tourists as I did last year. Most of the ones I do see are younger adults who appear to be on the richer side and not older ones in large tour groups.

I haven't done any pooning yet, mainly because I'm really not that into darker skinned girls or going to bars.

I'm really into a good legit veggie massage and a release or HJ as a bonus.  I've yet to find a place like this still, but I think I might have stumbled onto something.

So I have visited a number of top 15 spa and massage places on TripAdvisor and usually get an oil aromatherapy massage.   I am suppose to get naked, but the establishments always seem to hand me this thin pair of black underwear that I have to wear.  Never did this anywhere else, but I assume it's to prevent any misunderstandings and to keep the private parts unseen.  And also at these spots the masseuse doesn't usually come within a hand length of approaching LB.  So it's pure veggie only and I never expect or bother with asking if a HJ is available.   I enjoy my good veggie massage and that's that.

Well until recently that is...  One particular legit and upscale establishment which highly raved and located in a very popular hotel had me second guessing.    So upon entering the massage room, the masseuse handed me a robe and tray and I figure I would put on the black underwear again.  To my surprise she said it was fine that I could stay naked.     Now this was first and kind of threw me off.  The masseuse did leave the room while I was changing though and I had a white robe on when she came back in.  While I was taking the robe off, she pulled a big towel out to prevent any nudity of mine to be revealed.  Then I laid down the my front.

She gave a great back massage and did work close to LB, but never really touched it.

Then she turned me over and and again worked the legs, working closer to LB (like within a finger's width!) but again never touching or or brushing the balls or moving the towel to expose LB.  I was hard the whole time as her technique was great.  I know she knew that this had to be a natural reaction.

I was in heaven, but also so confused.   She did have a towel over my eyes, so it's not like I could just see how her face was reacting or looking for a reaction from me.  Seeing as it was my first time here, I didn't want to risk scaring her or make an idiot of myself, so I never asked for anything more.

Anyways, the signs were kind of there that I could have asked for a HJ, or at least some more massage around the groin area.  To be honest I don't even need a full release.  Just more work around LB as there are a ton of nerves there that could use some simulation. I'd be happy with just that too and would happy to tip extra for it.

Has anyone else had a similar experience in a legit Bangkok massage place and managed to get a more sensual massage out?

Thanks Rocky. I was just wondering if people who look Chinese are discriminated against because if so, I wouldn’t want to go. I wouldn’t expect that to happen much in Thailand though but wanted to just check!

I still have to write up about my last 2 Bangkok trips but I’ve just been so lazy about it!

I’m in Bangkok now. A lot of people wearing masks but definitely not the majority. Definitely Chinese tourists still coming here as I can recognize their accents. The neighbours on each side of my hotel room are Chinese too. Families so I won’t be hesring any late night fucking.

Was in BKK during the week lots of people on the subway wearing masks and in general when you walk around.  Mainlanders are around - but their numbers have dropped off massively to the delight of lots of people in thailand namely other tourists - lots of comments on thai forums and press how thais starting to appreciate the non-chinese tourists again - but the damage has been done (whole other story about thais pandering to mainlanders and forgetting everyone else) .  Was also in Rayong early last week , some mask wearing, saw no chinese but a few farangs about.  In Pattaya today - very dead  - some mask wearing - saw about 6 chinese in about the 4 hours there running some errands.   Patts is dead for weeks, but western tourist loving it not crowded, no tour buses everywhere, service levels improving, but prices increasing - thai logic at its best !

Not use TF before going to Thailand, use only when you are on the ground.

Just go straight and tell the girl that you are in Pattaya or Bangkok right now and what are you looking for (ST-LT-dating) and give them your Line ID.

Not need to wasting much time chatting if you have to pay the girl for the service.

In Pattaya using TF is like shooting fish in a barrel, 1000-1500 baht for ST, no barfine and no drinks. Easy and quick.

When I was in Chiang Mai and Bangkok in mid-December 2019, I was talking to some local tour guides and hotel staff.  PRC Chinese tourism is definitely down.  The Thai economy as a whole has been slowing down because the Chinese economy has slowed.  I didn’t realize the Trump tariff increase applied to Thailand, which greatly reduced their exports to the US and US import items have gone up in price.  December is when tourism season begins in places like Chiang Mai, mostly Chinese.  I was very surprised how quiet the hotel as a whole (I did have loud neighboring room on Saturday night that spoke Cantonese) and the different tourist spots I went to were.

I heard the same stories about how the Thai tourist industry like the PRC Chinese tourist money but do not like the tourist themselves.  This is the same story told by tourist industry folks in my trips to Japan and Taiwan.  The Chinese tourists I have observed over the handful of vacations I have been to Thailand is that they are not polite to hotel and hospitality staff.  I always appreciate it when hospitality staff is courteous and polite.  I have never really had any problems in Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok or Chiang Mai in the hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. when I need help or do not understand something and they help me on Thai etiquette to I don't trip over myself when outside the hotel.  It is one of the many reason I enjoy returning the land of smiles.

Yes, one of the silver linings of Covid-19 is far fewer mainland Chinese tourists in Thailand, or any other country for that matter.  But this won't last though.  Once the virus settles down, and a vaccination is around, travel from the Chinese is going to happen again.  Enjoy it while it lasts.

From my experience the younger Chinese are more polite and quieter.  Whereas the older generation that are 50+ are the really loud and rude bunch.

IN relation your second paragraph in general Thais dont like tourist except for their money if they could find a way to get your money without you coming that would be their dream - but very true thais dont like the behaviour of the mainlanders.

In relation to  Tariffs - this tariffs imposed by USA on China has benefited Thailand and double edge sword impacting Thais trading with China.  The USA then changed the preferred trade status/ removed trade preferences with Thailand - but the amounts we are talking about was in the order of $US1.3b.  Throw in the Thai BAht strength has certainly added to the wobbles of the thai economy!

Stray observations relating to coronavirus...

Most thai front line service workers are wearing masks.
Alcohol hand sanitizers have been at every store, restaurant, mall and hotel that i’ve seen. Mcdonalds and 7-eleven included.
I’m seeing maybe 20-30% of people wearing masks, but i’ve only been traveling the usual tourist areas.
Chinese tourists are still arriving. Smaller numbers but definitely from mainland china.
Ripple effect in place. Less korean, japanese, singaporean tourists as well.
Businesses everywhere feeling the ripple effect. My hotel’s restaurants have been nearly empty when in the past they’ve been full house for their buffets. Mall food courts at lunch and dinner have been easier to get a seat.
WGs have much less business as well. One told me i’m her only customer for three days.

If you have no fear then now is a good time to visit thailand. My hotel offered me 50% off their very expensive buffet due to lack of customers. It’s way easier to get a seat at the restaurants you want. I used to eat early or late to avoid the rushes. And way easier to get your favourite WG who is less busy.

That said, i’ve purposely been avoiding some places with high concentration of people like chinatown and some malls.

I’ll post more when I’m home and at a keyboard not my iPad.

If you want to go to Thailand (and you’re not coming from Mainland China) then now is the time to go! The local Thais are going about their business as usual but without the mass of tourists there are almost no lines anywhere. Hotels are easier to book. Restaurants have no waits. Markets are way less crowded. And way more working girls are available.

Outcall escort agencies have asked for my nationality to screen out the Mainland Chinese. Some massage and bj places have signs out front saying no Chinese. Girls

Also the weather in Bangkok in February is incredibly amazing.

Surprisingly positive responses.

Since there's no travel ban to my knowledge, there have been any number of Chinese tourists. Seeing how fast the infection is spreading in Korea and Italy, almost no doubt cases in Thailand are simply untested and unreported. Unless Thais somehow have stronger immune systems, epidemic seems likely.

Is it actually a good time to go? Heard crowds are done but apparently FL are also decreasing slightly. Maybe good to go now before it becomes worse.

At the time of CNY there were 100,000 Mainlanders in Thailand and of that amount approximately 20,000 were from Wuhan area so it is surprising that Thailand have very little cases reported. - like China I dont believe the figures from Thailand - and as usual the $$ is most important to the Thai so saying anything about Corona is a negative - good to these the Thais have got their priorities right !

For those of you who prefer to stay in the Sukhumvit Asok area, it looks like the new skywalk extension from Sheraton/Times Square/Robinsons to Sofitel/Thermae is complete. The stairs are in front of the Sofitel so if you pick up a girl from Thermae you'll have to double back to get to the skywalk. Also that skywalk crossover by Sukhumvit Soi 12/Burger King is having an awning installed.

On the south side of Sukhumvit directly opposite of Terminal 21 is an almost completed new hotel - Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel. Nishitetsu is a small Japanese chain and I'm a fan of their hotels in Tokyo. The Solaria brand is their higher end more expensive brand. They're building direct skywalk access to Asok BTS as well.
