What's the best way to get round communication problems. I'm of chinese ethnicity but don't speak a word of canto or mandarin (brought up in a western country and speak an uncommon chinese dialect). we're in the same boat. Here's what I'm doing,

1) walk-ups especially PRC 7 day nests. Young, pretty, cheap, great value for money. You can chat with them through Google translate and start to pickup simple words. A great way to learn Mando, would you rather learn/practice mando from a nerdy guy, fugly gal, or a naked hot girl with your dick in her mouth or pussy.

2) Like what you are doing. Thai girls are great, just MCOT and most speak eng, to varying degree. A lot of the local HK gals or older PRC girls can speak eng enough to help with conversation.

3) I haven't actually tried booking a girl, either call appointment or HG. One idea, is to get a friend who can write Chinese, to write some common phrases you will use in making a booking so that you have a punting phrase book on your phone which you can copy/paste into your SMS and use Google translate on the reply. May be we can start a sticky with common phrases we use for punting, which would be a great help for us non speaking/reading bros.

Generally I found the more up market/pricier girls tend to speak more English and easier to chat up. For the quick time PRC girls, they tend to rush and not communicate with you much. But if it is someone you really like to chat up, try going at a non busy time during work days (3pm-5pm) or use Google translate to say to her you want to book 1hr session, how much? to ease their mind.

If there's no clear "Welcome" or "Please Ring Bell" sign, then you shouldn't knock.  Because you haven't been given permission to knock.

It's best to assume that, unless there's clear signage, you shouldn't disturb the occupant.

I don't see much need to communicate unless you have specific requests.

If you have such requests, you can display chinese characters on your smartphone and show to the girl.  Phrases like BBBJ or anal in Chinese characters are easy to find through Google.

Or you should concentrate only on mongering in areas where there's lots of foreigners, like Tsimshatsui or Causeway Bay, and look for doors that suggests English is being spoken.


If you can't speak Canto or Mando, booking by telephone is not a viable option for you.
