Sorry for this seemingly silly question. As you know I am new here. I am posting this question not only because I am a noobie, but I barely speak Cantonese.

I plan to visit a walk up somewhere in HK island but don't know if there are tips you can give me once I am in front of the door. Do I find a hint that the WG has a customer? A colored bulb switched on? Will an ignored knock on the door signify it? Is it generally difficult to deal with girls who speak Cantonese or Mandarin as indicated in their DB profile and I should consider only those with English skills?

All the doors at the walk ups have a sign most have english on them. One side says please come back later which means they have a cutomer so dont ring the bell. The other side says welcome ring the bell and they will open the door and let you in. It doesn't matter if you dont speak chinese you are not there to chat anyway.

I dont speak chinese and never had a problem they will find a way to tell you how much.

Do I find a hint that the WG has a customer?   There is a card hanging on the door.  One side of the card says "lease Wait", the other says "Ring Bell" or something synonymous ... do as the card says and you'll be justfine

Will an ignored knock on the door signify it?   If the card says "lease Ring", and you knock (or ring), and nothing happens for a minute or two, it means she's ignoring you.  Take it personally, walk away.  But that never happens ... usually the door opens before you even press the bell, as she wants to welcome your wallet!

I was with this girl in champaign A and people were still ringing her bell.
She was very popular so i was not surprised.

In some cases the Open/Please Wait text is printed only in Chinese. By asking other punters I learned that the side with a 4 Chinese character phrase means open, and 3 characters wait.


Bullshite, Happened to me again today Girl had an open sign on, I rang doorbell and waited, but she did not answer. Some are just afraid of or dislike white guys Happens to me sometimes.

Maybe you should of left the hockey mask and machete at home? Haha jk bro! =P

Is price discuss once you walk in or can you just reference her ad on this site?  Think it would be better if the girls had a price list on their door as well.

Man, that's too methodical but very helpful anyway! It would be interesting to see that flowchart and check whether that one has:

1. if better than expected >> then ask how much >> else say "sorry wrong door"
2. if speaks acceptable english >> then smile and say "can i come in?" >> else do some body language

Don't have to say sorry wrong door, just smile and indicate "no" with your head (side to side movement, unless you are Indian, in which case it is up and down )♦

I was offered lemon tea twice so I took two from the fridge...

I said "you're so good in bed you took away my energy. This (pointing to the tetra pak) helps me regain energy". She giggles.

Love the flow chart, I can see me using that in the next management presentation !

It's weird how they always offer me drinks from the fridge, I got given yakult once, looking like a little kid sucking that walking out the door

One way to comfort us and "recharge" lost energy, I guess.

Not ringing the bell or knocking the door when there's a customer is the right thing to do.
Once a friend of mine, said that during his session, there were 3 bell ringings in 30 minutes.
Later he found out it was the same guy. That's super annoying

I used to think that it's a standard. But I noticed that it's either 'Welcome' or 'Please Wait' that's enough to let us know the girl is ready for us or not.

Wish those guys who continue to ring the bell learn some lesson.
