Yea I do have a scooter, but right now I prefer driving the ol mini cooper around when the wife isn't using it as its a bit toooo fucking cold.  I feel for those poor souls who have to travel via motorbike or bicycle right now.

I remember a friend of mine took me on his Mini Cooper S - the old type - quite a few years back in Florida; he showed me how fast we could go in that li'l thing - something like 135 MPH+ or something like that - kinda scary in such a small vehicle - especially since we were zooming and passing all sorts of great big American cars on the highway.

I think the Mods may think that a collective reduction of K's can be a bit too harsh so had suggested deducting As instead. The OP is a senior member and have contributed to reports in the past. The guy is a kamikaze but then I always say to each his own.

I can understand if it is ONE or even if only a few members who are abusing their K negging powers; but in this case, there's a slew of members - including another mod - who do not approve and have expressed so by negging the OP.  

A right that all of us have individually and one that I certainly think should NOT be abrogated by one individual.

I guess just another one of those things on the forum

I think this thread will always be toward the top page of the thread chat.  There's so many topics being discussed already that I'm sure there's plenty of things to be said.  Even if the thread was pushed below, since there's many topics, if someone was to do a search of keywords, it would very likely show up.  I'm sure SEAJ would make sure his thread will stay atop.  The way this thread is dynamic, you can talk about whatever you want and put the thread back up to the top.

Yep looks like I can rate... interesting rule. How come newbies can't reply to threads there? I understand if they can't create a thread but it seems strange to block replies.

Looks like I'll need to stick to the Chat section for a while.

This "rule" was invoked because we had a period where we had Niewbies - just to get posting credits - posting up all sorts of one-liners (BTW, this is what still goes on in the Chinese side of this forum where one-liners are still endemic.)

I remember looking at one of Goose's posts (Goose is the TOP rated poster here who've put up a ton of great Posts accompanied by bucketfuls of great pictures) and the one liners were running at least 5 or 6 pages long!  

It was ridiculous and it was decided that the best way to solve the problem would be to restrict Newbies from posting on the Hong Kong report section.  Seems to have worked well in that we see less of these gratuitous remark/obvious question type one liners these days.

Also, at that time, the Mods created the "newbies" section - I guess to sort of enable them to monitor the newbies a bit before allowing them access to the other parts when they reach membership.  75 posting credits to do so.

Im really glad the english forum of the 141 site hasn't changed over to the new layout thats used in the Chinese side of the forum.  Visually, this format we use here is nice and clean, that other one looks too busy and cluttered.  Thanks for not changing it!

Coz it's a helluva way to do this - and as you see, the OP got lots of negative karmas, for this is not the first time he's posted up similar suggestions. (small tip - you probably do NOT want to post similar "way!" LOL)

Also note the "fairness" of our forum - with one mod at first reversing the negative karmas and then another RE-reversing such;  this truly is representative of what happens here as it's quite apparent that the first mod really had no right/totally wrong to reverse the general opinion (as was expressed by the negative karmas) of so many members.

Such reversing of points can and should only be used against one or a small group of members who are abusing their karma giving/taking rights.

This birds nest business is quite popular in China, however, their is a lot of suspicion towards the quality of the product providers.  You can find birds nest everywhere here, from Lawsons, to Carrefour to pharmacies.
