i think unless you're doing something artistic, the photos should be a true representation of fact - so for commercial purposes, the photos should be as honest as possible.  i've seen photos where colors have been enhanced for mood and what not, but when you actually alter the features of a face, building or scenery - you're selling something that doesn't exist.  i guess sometimes that's what people are selling - not the reality but the fantasy.
