In the room, the man handed $300 to Fang Fang, Just as she was about to remove her clothes, someone suddenly knocked on the door. It was the police and the man was an undercover agent. Fang Fang was charged and convicted of “soliciting for an immoral purpose” on the evidence of her acceptance of $300. LOL, I was the guy but not middle aged.  If Fang Fang was the undercover in the same exact situation, would I be charged? This is exactly what happened to me on Nathan and Dundas, hell she even followed me for 2 blocks shooting smiles my way.

I also want to find out what really are the actual pitfalls for us punters - not just some more discussions from the blind leading the blind.  There are already other threads for such discussions, speculation and comments. #10 Post at 29-5-2010 07:32  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #9 ymc's post since everyone agrees prostitution is legal in HK, maybe that had set an age limit for prostitutes? and that is 18? could that explain the discrepancy between 18 and the age of consent, which is 16? from what i understand, age of consent is for consensual sex among 2 people, it does not apply in a prostitution setting. that's probably why the police want you to cooperate in the first place, to establish the fact that you were engaged in prostitution, then they go and check out the girl's age

Part XII, i.e. Section 117 onwards, covers 'Sexual and Related Offences' - includes legal age of consent as 16. Section 129 onwards covers Prostitution. Section 141 covers allowing young persons to work in a brothel - minimum age is again 16.
