Is it easy to book a package trip from HK to BKK?

Hi,

A little info please

I want to book a hotel and air package from HK to BKK:
a) Is it easy, where are the deals?
b) how long before I can travel? within a day?
c) How much should I expect to pay for a 3-4 days visit?

Thanks,
Unmask

Sorry, a follow up...

What about Phuket? How's the action and is it worth the extra travel to get there?

Planning my Dec. trip

Cheap.....for 3 days 2 nites package (average hotel & ticket) to bangkok HK$2,500 to HK$3,500.

Phuket......a bit more expensive $2,800 to $4,000 (average hotel).

Many local travel agencies can do the booking conveniently...but at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead........Dec peak travelling season by HK ppl.

I've been to Phuket 3 times, will go there next month again. Most of the action is along one
road, and it starts at about sunset. There are some real beauties there. Most of the bars are
outdoors, so you get a good view of everyone. I think it's more fun because of being outside.
Most of the girls truly seem to be having a great time.

The area is quite beautiful. It's a nice change of scenery compared to Bangkok. There's an
unusually cool shopping center called Jung Ceylon, which you can find at www.jungceylon.com
It's brand new, much of it was still under construction when I went in March. Excellent food,
including outdoor vendors, and plenty of beauties walking around.

My only objection to Phuket is that most of the bargirls want to do ST. On the other hand, if
you're patient and lucky, you might find a FL walking down the main Bangl La Road for a LT.
Don't think twice, though, because someone else will grab her within a few seconds.

Airfare from BKK is cheap. Go to airasia.com

if you are talking about packages, it is subject to availability;

if you are talking about air ticket + accommodation, you can leave immediately

I tried, but didn't find any on the U.S. side that have (HK) BKK specials.

I think you need to have a HK server address to get to the HK travel specials, if not, I get re-direct back to US travel agents.

There are are some important things to consider when pricing the Air Asia tickets, especailly
the ones that are "free" other than taxes. It's still far from free.

After staying up late in BKK for several nights in a row, the last thing I want to do is take a
flight at 7AM. When you consider getting up and dressed, checking out of hotel, maybe a
premium price for the taxi driver, arriving at the airport 2 hours early, and on and on... you're
looking at getting out of bed as early as 3:30. Hey, the room is paid until 12:00 noon.

On the other hand, a flight that leaves at 1-2PM gives you the ability to monger all you like on
that last night in BKK. There's no rush on anything. It's only an hour's flight to Phuket, which
means arriving there long before the nightlife begins.

The difference in fares is definitely worth it to me to have much more relaxed trips, in both
directions. Phuket's airport is an hour's ride from Patong Beach, and what happens if the driver
has a flat tire? So, should you get up at 2:30 to be ontime?

Finally, the mere thought of leaving the hotel long before sunrise is depressing. If you finally
found that perfect LT date, with every reason to believe there will be a second round the
next morning, you just kissed that off.

With the taxes being so high, the differences between a 0 baht fare and 899 suddenly
doesn't look so far apart. My found-trip fare is 2400 baht, which is dirt cheap for a 1,000
mile roundtrip.

If you're a true early-bird, and the savings outweigh the rest, then you're the person that
the 0 fare is intended for. In that case, please ignore everything I've said.

Either way, go to Phuket and have a blast. It's almost impossible not to

Another note, but this one is much briefer. Most flights between HK and BKK are
expensive.

Again, though, www.airasia.com is offering some great deals on their new routes between
Macau and BKK. It's only a ferry ride between Macau and HKG. If you have the time, you
may want to see HKG and Macau anyway.

actually I did thought of flying to Macau from Bangkok and stay in Macau instead of HK;
but after adding the cost of the ferry between HK and Macau (and comparing the cost of accommodation), guess I wll stay to Hongkong.

maybe would be better to fly to Shenzhen since the room rates are cheaper but again, have to add the cost of the visas...........................
