Don't speak a word of Madarin or Cantonese and the English speaking girls seem rarer than 'her indoors' giving me a BJ! I'm shit hot at charades so I presume waving my hands around in the style of a BJ, Doggy etc translates globallly!?!?!? I just don't want to say or do something that the girl may find insulting......and I'd much rather speak in the mother tongue if I can. I've been down to Waterstones and they have pocket translation books but none of them contain the words or phrases I think I'll need....lol!!!! I got around fine in china without speaking mandrin. China: you get package deal, don't really need to say Or ask for anything. USA: ymmv, some do it and some don't, it's always hit or miss. Buy a beginners' langage course and check out the talking dictionary at www.yellowbridge.com which will help you with the pronounciation, which I find REALLY hard
