Emperor Hotel

First as a new member, apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I hope to visit Macau for a few days in the middle of May, probably staying in the Emperor Hotel, which I believe has its own sauna/spa.

Can anyone give an indication of the costs and whether any other services are offered there? The Waldo hotel doesn't seem to be too far away so I could go there instead if recommended.

I stayed at the Emperor once in the past.  The hotel was fine, however I used my credit card for the room deposit.  Someone at the hotel cloned my card and went on a shopping spree in Hong Kong a couple months later.  On my trip I only used my credit card once, at this hotel.  I wrote them and the manager actually wrote back and we went back and forth a few times before I never heard back from her.  Because of the fraud I did not have to pay for the purchases but my card was cancelled and I only found out about it when I tried to use it to pay another hotel bill back here in CA.

The emperor hotel has a great sauna called Emperor Sauna. The selection was great, and I'm not sure why people don't talk about it more? It's a stones throw to Senado, and a bit farther walking distance to Waldo. Prices at Emperor Sauna were justaverage, 1400-1900 packages.

Thanks macaurox.

I've stayed at the Emperor before and was going to go down to the sauna there, but fell asleep.

With the current fall in sterling, I'm not certain whether I'll be able to go this year or not though.
