Talk to Rugby Clubs in HK. They hold all the tickets..

Or you can hang around the Marco Polo Hotel when the teams are in town. I know for a fact that each player gets allocated 2 tickets each for their family members or friends. However, most of them don't use them and rather sell it for the $$. Might jack up the price tho.

Yes ask local rugby teams for tickets is a good option.

Also if you have vendors working for you, like PCCW, can ask them too

I've always got my tickets outside the ground.  There are touts knocking around on Friday afternoon a couple of hours prior to the start.   You'll pay a premium of maybe 300 dollars per day over face value but that's only equivalent to a hotdog and a beer inside the ground.

Failing that, you'll see people who have bought/given weekend tickets but cannot go to it all so they sell the ticket outside the ground.  You'll probably get tickets under face value this way, especially for the Sunday when everyone got trashed on the Saturday day/night and can't face the noise/beer throwing/sick in the south stand on a sunday!

They're HKD1,250. That's the standard price. HKRFU says that you're not supposed to jack the price up but everyone does. I know some ppl that have paid 4K for a set of tickets. Crazy...

i've never watched a game and dont know what the thrill is. It's like american football but less contact and less excitement.

VG - Less contact? You gotta watch a game before you judge so quickly! It's a lot quicker than American Football. No stopping to change offensive/defensive lines. You're on the field, you gotta make your hits as well as carry the ball. No silly pads.. it's just a shirt, a mouthguard, jockstrap, shorts, and boots! Having played all sorts of sports growing up (club and otherwise), it's the one game that you try to beat the shit out of each other and then go out and have beers at the home clubhouse.

I watched an episode of "Dhani tackles England" it's a show where this american football player, dhani jones, travels to other parts of the world and tries their sport. So he goes to England and he says that rugby nowhere near compares to american football with the hitting and the contact. I have never played so I wouldnt know but from what I got from watchign the show, it doesn't seem like it is as hard. Otherwise wouldnt' they need pads and head gear and such if it was?

Me trying to convince you otherwise is no use. Go to YouTube and search for big rugby hits... It's pretty intense. The only reason some people think it's not as hard hitting as football is cause rugby players don't go head first into tackles or they'll split their skull open and in Football, it's 2 - 3 guys hitting one guy most of the time whereas in rugby, you really have to defend your own man so it's one on one hits.

I think the only one for me to know is to go and watch the game live or play it myself. I find I figure things out more that way than by people telling me. It's not that I dont believe you, it's just harder to believe since I've watched american football since I was a kid.

Aah, the good old Rugby vs NFL argument.  I would like to see an NFL team play 80 minutes with only 5 subs. I've introduced the game to many Americans over the years and they all agree rugga is harder than A. football. VG give it a go sometime, much more fun than football. You might actually touch the ball in a game for once .

you got to explain the game to me. I never played it before so have no idea how. Maybe I'll try it with my bros here. Instead of playing touch football, we might try rugby just to see. What are the rules and are they complicated to follow?
