limits on Posts

I am a newbie here and I have been trying to participate in some topic that I find extremely interesting.  But every time I get to my 4th or 5th post I get an error message saying that I have reached themax post limit.  Can someone here shed some light on this?  I have tried searching for an answer and havent been able to come up with anything.

As far as I can tell to prevent flooding people are limited to 3 or 4 posts per hour.  I think you can post again after one hour from your last post.  Please remember to post quality posts.

Number of posts are restricted to 4 per hour for newbies, no restrictions after becoming a member.

that really sucks a lot.. but i do find it really effective to prevent spam.. instead of other forums that just hire a mod to check all the topics to spot spammers
