Hotels for HGs

I was wondering about the HGs and the hotels they are at, do the papa/mama san tell the hotel name in chinese, english, or what? And do they tell the street name? Since I do not speak cantonese/mandarin, and would you generally book HGs a few days in advance or on the day?

well, I know of one prominent TST papasan who gave me the name of the hotel in Cantonese, but the fucking name of the hotel in both Chinese and English had changed a while back and he was using the old name  (Hotel R). I wasn't familiar with the old name and when I asked him for directions, he was a dick and merely asked me to ask the taxi driver.

If you get one of James' girls, James should give you the name of the hotel in English, and probably will give you directions.

Don't bother booking HGs in advance.  I would just do it the day of.

I found it was handy to call from my hotel with the internet in front of me. I would get the name and quickly google it, so I knew where I was going!

I made one call and was able to work it out on one of the free maps they give out at the hotel. It took a little bit, but I got there.

Hm I guess I could try calling the papa/mamasan early in the morning and book in the afternoon, giving me time to look up google maps and travel time if they give me the name in english.
And isnt tst really small that you can just walk from place to place while taking a taxi is wasting more time?

TST is rather smallish and if you are in the area already and know where to go, walking is definitely an option. Traffic in TST can be quite congested sometimes, so you may even make better time by walking. At my walking pace anywhere in TST is maximum 20 minutes from anywhere else.

The exception might be the summer months where an air conditioned taxi might be preferable to a brisk walk. Also, quite a few HG listed under TST are actually in Jordan which would add another 5-10 minutes walking.

I always like booking in front of the computer. In addition to being able to look up the location of the hotel, it also allows me to browse the online DB and call up the girls as I come across them instead of having to create a preselected list to take with me. I also find most public places around HK too noisy for phone conversations, especially with papasans/mamasans who speak heavily accented English at best.

By the way, my favorite online map for navigating HK is http://www.centamap.com/

well, there are a lot of the HGs situated in TST East as well, so there's not one place necessarily more centrally situated than others.  But since Champagne Court A&B are on Kimberley Road, I would say that staying at a hotel on Kimberley Road wouldn't be too bad.

The last time I had language trouble booking a HG girl I simply hung up the phone (actually the papasan hung up on me! ) and texted my request instead.Instantly I got an english reply confirming booking and location.  Easy as pie!

I didn't do it.  Really I didn't.

the HGs are all over the place in TST.  What's your point in asking about the hotels?  You want to stay in the same hotel as them?  If you really want to know, why don't you just call and find out?  No one here is going to tell you.  They move around all the time - you really think they're going to be a stationary target?
