I know that it's a matter of taste and so on, but what's the general opinion on the $1500+ "local" hotel girls (not the fake Japanese/Korean ones)?  Really any better than the regular $600-$800 fare? Some of them look hot, but not really hotter than the regular HGs. Is the idea paying for better Cantonese skills, and fantasizing that you're doing your secretary or something? They speak a very similar type of Cantonese. For me, a Canadian who speaks Cantonese, it's very difficult to tell. On the other hand, it's very easy for me to pick out a "mainlander" who is trying to pose as a local HK WG when their first language is clearly mandarin. Thoughts? I mean, with the high living expenses of HK and all. The mainlanders are here for short term anyways, and so their earning go a lot farther when they return to the mainland. Local gals are stuck up in comparison so they won't even give great service either. I'm of cantonese origin myself, and i do not find the language at all sexy or smooth. In fact it is harsh and abrasive. Mandarin (when spoken softly and nicely) is 100x more sexy anyways.

#10 Post at 7-11-2009 05:17  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L pretty easy to tell HK Cantonese from say Guangdong Cantonese.  Remember, Guangdong Cantonese is the pure form - HK Cantonese is a bit bastardized since they tend to substitute 'n' with 'l' (i.e. the word 'you') and omit the 'ng' syllable in many words (for example, the words 'love', 'cheat', 'correct','duck' etc.).  Also, HK Cantonese tends to be spoken with a more rounder mouth, for lack of a better term. Back to the original question - yes, if you look hard enough, there's plenty of WG girls in apartments who are 'toh deih' at 1/3 the price, as mentioned by someone else.

I didn't ask about details because I was not interested. Probably a CBJ. Hotel fee extra. Which works out near 2k for 2 shots. For a freelancer. She looks cute but that's because of makeup.
