Hotel names are usually easy.  Street addresses where the phone appointment girls are cam be harder as most of the old buildings only have chinese name.  Best thing a foreigner bro can do is have a crash course in Cantonese.  The HK and China girls are worth it...

I have to really apologise as I am TOTALLY new. I wanted to try the girls with "Hotel Reservation" as their location but what exactly does this mean? Does it mean you have to have a hotel room to see them or does it just mean that you have to pay extra for one of their hotel rooms?

If I have to have a hotel room myself, can anyone recommend a nice, clean hourly hotel on HK Island/TST?

I wonder about this too, since I have can speak canto and English but no mando whatsoever and many of the girls are mando only.

quite a number of the agents can speak passable english, so there isn't much to worry about. once you're on the bed, you don't really need to know mandarin to know exactly what to do with the wg. of course it will help alot to learn some basic phrases first.

I also experienced this during my stay in Hongkong but when I selected those HGs in TST whoola, some papasan and mamasan speak good english even calling you "Sir". Then they asked me to proceed tho a certain HotelRoyal Kowloon if I remembered it right. At the hotel lobby, I called the phone again and asked for a specific girl I want. The man gave me a room number, I went up but when I open, different girl. I went back to the hotel lobby and called the papasan again. He said sorry the girl I want is busy and I have to wait for 30 minutes. He passed the phone to a lady and she instructed me to go to another room. I went up again and opened another room. Again, I don't like so I go down again. I called another number on my list luckily the mamasan spoke good english so she instructed me to go to the same hotel. I told her I am already in that hotel. She gave me a new room number and when it opened, a Thailander greeted me. I wanna back out but she pulled me in. So I accepted. Luckily, I enjoyed her service.

and another question ... I can speak a little bit of kantonese, but most of the phone appointments you have to call with a number display. I dont have a chinese number, will that be a problem ? Will they answer the phone or take me serious even i have a foreign number?

A potential problem is that when a mobile phone is roaming, it doesn't always display the phone number when you make a call.
Simple solution, pop into a Peoples or PCCW or any of the other mobile phone stores and get yourself a pay as you go sim. HK$120 (or what ever seemingly random amount they cost...) should be enough for your purposes.

i have the same problem.
and speaking cantonese or mandarin is not easy on the phone at my level at least...

the way i resolve this issue is "luck"... there are so many different girls with so many different papasans/mamasans. have a list and try one by one... sooner or later you ll find one who is conversational in english. too bad for the other ones.

and lets not take it personally. it must be irritating for them and potentially too troublesome for them to do business if they cant communicate with us.

The advice here is all pretty good, save the bit about asking the taxi driver. I generally find that texting is the best method for communicating.  Almost any of the papas and mamas can read some basic English.  Half the time even if they understand me, I can't understand the name of the damn hotel.  So try SMS, or maybe get the conceiger at your 5* hotel to do the booking, lol.

Try different girls #s you like and you will find an English speaker sometime.
There are clues as to which girls are JB girls and once you unlock this,you will have access to some good service girls.
Do a search on J B girls you will figure it out.
