Not so, if you are your own boss and you can't use it too often. If you work in the financial sector, attending lectures is a good one, as you need to accumulate your CPT to keep your license. A least a couple hours. Training abroad is another one.

#8 Post at 5-10-2009 05:31  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L well since I'm a software developer, I try to not use this one much, but I can use the bullet and say that remote access to the servers from the house isn't available, I'll have to drive over a few miles away either back to work or to the location where the servers are at and reboot things.  And don't bother calling, the server room is too noisy for me to hear the phone / reception is lousy in there.

#20 Post at 6-10-2009 08:14  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L This is one of the hardest tasks to do... ...if I am in HK with the family, impossible.  Like froddo says, only when on a trip alone.  But there is an exception here in the states.  Sometimes I will say that I am conducting business in Virginia or some state that is about 4-6 hours away because taking the plane can be a bitch in NYC.  It's 1-2 hours to the airport and another 1 hour to check in for a 1-2 hour flight.  So I usually end up saying that I am on a road trip and I can't talk much on the phone driving, and when it hits midnight (the supposed time I get there), I call and say that I am going to bed, don't disturb me unless it's urgent because I have to be well rested for the next day meeting (9 hours undisturbed) perfect for my overnighter time.
