Err...earn more money for one thing. Most punters may not have the time to travel up to China or Macau to monger and is more convenient for them to punt locally and are willing pay a little more for this. So if there is a demand for wgs in HK, girls will make their to HK to fulfil this.

I heard from my uncle people make 1500RMB per month. Going to a WG means blowing half of their salary away, whereas in HK ... people are a little wealthier

trying to figure out your question ...

A girl can make more in 5 busy days in HK than she can in 2 busy days in SZ at a cheaper rate.

A HK punter will pay much more for a girl in TST than for the same girl in SZ, because he can take a 90 minute break to go to a hotel, but can't take 1/2 day off to go to China (plus the cost of travel).

In Shenzhen, the rate is 130 yuan per shot.  In HK, it's $700 for the hotel girls.  At a minimum it's about $300 the lowest in the flats.  So you do make a lot more in HK than in China.  Most of the WGs that come from China to work in HK are the hot ones.  It's not cheap to rent a room in a hotel for a WG.  The papasans have to cover this cost.  Also, I agree that China people make a lot less than HK people.  I spoke with a waitress in China and a female clerk at a supermarket there. Each get paid $1,000 yuan per month and only get 4 days off.  They don't go by weekends and weekdays.  You choose 4 days off per month according to availability.  In other words, you get worked to death there.

I always thought a HK ID doesn't need a China Visa to go to China.  Only foreigners who have passports need a China Visa.  My friend in HK always tells me it's so simple to go to Shenzhen.  They have a separate line from those with passports.  They just swipe their HK ID at the line and that's it.  For those with a passport and China Visa, you have to go through customs which takes a bit longer.

A person in HK who holds a HKID and a china ID (通行正 is the official name) can enter and exit China mainland/HK very quickly. The thing is, people with a foreign passport can get a HKID because HK is a SAR (special administrative region, because it was under British rule till 1997), but you cannot get a China ID or China passport without giving up your original passport (your foreign one). One cannot enter China mainland with a HKID, and needs a China ID as mentioned before or a passport with a visa.

Yeah its strange with all these different laws, and somehow Macau allows people with just HKID to enter.

Hope this clears it up a bit with regards to entry to mainland China (ie shenzhen ) for ones with foreign passport.

Honkies leave HK swipe their HKID Card, then enter China swiping their China ID Card. And the reverse coming back. For Macau, only the HKID Card is required because both are SARs. I don't know for a fact, but I assume people holding Macau ID Cards can enter HK using only that card...

Not quite: it's a different ID.  Your HK ID only gets you out of HK, it doesn't get you into anywhere, definitely not into PRC.

HK permanent residents of Chinese descent can apply for a PRC ID, which is what they use.

Unless one of your parents was Chinese (including HK Chinese) having a permanent HKID does not qualify you to get a PRC ID.  You still have to use your passport.
