Getting into the building...Please help

Hi, newbie here. I've been trying to hit Sun Kai Mansion in Wanchai for a while but last friday when I finally made up my mind to walk in, the old security dude asked me where I am going. I caught a bit off guard and said I came to the wrong address...very embarrasing

any idea how I can get past by that guy? Please help. Thx.

If he asks you, no need to tell him which flat... Just tell him which floor. He'll know what you're doing going to that floor anyway. If he persists to ask which flat exactly, tell him you're not sure yet and need to browse first. You could even ask him for a recommendation if you wanted to chat a bit more... Just don't be embarrassed! 141 walk-ups are legal in HK.

Cool, I wander why they have a guard to ask such a thing anyway. For security? Well I guess a crook can say the same thing and get by.

well it's just a residential building rite, most buildings have a management guy standing / sitting there checking for 'suspicious' ppl ...

although all they do is just let most of them walk on by~
