Wrong, if Argentina and England win their respective 2nd Round matches, they will meet in the Quarter-Final. Due to the goals scored, USA top Group C and England is second. USA & England has 5 points each.

MAN! A mouth-watering match-up! Quarter Final - Argentina vs England - A repeat of 1986 Quarter-Finals. That match, Argentina won the match 2-1 because of 'Hand-Of-God'.

Did you just edit your post? I was reading your initial remarks, something about WKK getting his spreadsheet formulae wrong and now its a completely different set of remarks!

Yes, England will play against Group D's winner. I was just looking ahead/forward to the Quarter-Finals. Really hope to watch the match-up between Argentina vs England so that England can get revenge.

Sorry Bros! Me always excited when England progress to the next round. Maybe, they will meet Ghana. Hoping for another upset or at least a draw game.

Yes, you are right in SA win 3-0 that they still be eliminated.
Btw, some people just do not have the magnanimity to forgive others.

Thank God, Capella played Defoe.
I thank US for putting the last minute goal helping me to make some $$ with the Group qualifying ranking, payout 7.0..

I love to see England playing against Germany in the round of 16. England usually perform better with stronger opponent.
They tend to look down on lower ranking teams and end up playing like shit and making a fool out of themselves.

With Messi playing, Argentina is equivalent to 15 players on the field. I like to see how they fair against another south American team, same attacking style and same speed.

I love to see England reaching the Quarter playing Argentina, however this means I gonna lose more money betting on England...

with 5 minutes to go, it's looking like the USA vs. Ghana and Germany vs. England in the Round of 16.

That win by the USA was a heartstopper.  The sequence just before, Algeria had a brillant chance but did nothing.  That was crazy how stretched the field was in the 2nd half of the USA game.

Not happy at all. Unfortunately the runner-up in Group C qualifies - even non of them really deserve.

Capello already have them practicing on penalties for the last 16 versus Germany and we all know how this is going to end....
In case you should not know - ask Stuart Pearce or Gareth Southgate

Uruguay, South Korea, USA, Ghana - one of these 4 non-traditional powers is going to make the semi-finals, the Final Four.  (well Uruguay was a power way back when but not lately).   From a USA perspective, if they can play 90 minutes of consistent soccer in the next 2 games, they have a outstanding shot at being the team that comes out of this group.

Great finish that one.  I'll rooting for them againt Ghana.  Always good to see the minor nations doing well.  Australia is now out!  That 4-0 German thrashing was too much to get back.  Go the kiwis!!!

England should have had an easier opponent (Ghana instead of Germany) if Rooney had hit that goal.

i'm sure he couldnt believe it himself that he missed from that distance

Italy out

What a shocker!

French exit more or less expected but for Italy to go from 2006 hero to 2010 zero...

Someone's either winning big or losing big on this one.

Italy are slow and old this year though...

They should have started Di Natale from the very first game... and now they have ended the group stages without winning a single match. HAHA (hope none of you bet on Italy)!
