Mostly it was about Viagra. The WHO estimates that 10% of brand name drugs sold worldwide are counterfeit. The investigative reporter sent some fake Viagra to Pfizer for analysis. They were found to contain up to three times the maximim dose of the active ingredient sildenafil. Well, I guess that explains our huge erections     Problem is, Pfizer said that dosage is potentially lethal.      But, personally, I'm not going to believe anything the drug companies tell me. They're just in it for the money, just like the counterfeiters.

Yes it's true the drug companies do put a lot of time, effort and money into this activity. They spend huge amounts of money lobbying American congressmen to pass laws favorable to their business; shower doctors with gifts to prescribe unnecessary drugs; and advertisements to convince people that they need dozens of expensive medicines to cure modern plaques such as 'Hyperactive Child Syndrome' - those ads certainly don't come cheap. I don't care if it's CDs, VCDs, handbags, shoes, t-shirts, watches, drugs., etc. All the originals have over-inflated prices and, if the copiers can make them to an acceptable standard, people will buy them - including me. I don't believe in the concept of copyright - except for literature. But I also don't believe in deceit; if something is a copy of the original, it should be sold that way so that people know what they're buying. The guys in TST don't pretend to be selling you a genuine Rolex or a genuine Gucci bag, so what's the problem?
