How far these will go is not yet known. Hopefully will lead to less entry restrictions. Best to check with Chinese embassy or consulate or other Chinese government source to confirm the requirements for where you are headed in China. Testing will depend on where you are departing from and local quarantine in China may also be dependant on where you are departing from and any Covid cases amongst your fellow passengers. There are also changes mooted to quarantine and isolation rules during an outbreak, very much a local decision on that. Can expect many more cases of Covid over the next few months. No word yet on a general lifting of visa issue to enter China but maybe not a good time to visit if cases of Covid rise too much. Teltel

Even if they did open up, it would be way too hot to visit China now. Even if you think COVID isn't a big deal, it can be to an older population who aren't vaxxed at all, especially around a mass migration event like CNY. The pessimist in me says that we won't return to normal in China until April at the latest.

The requirements for pre travel vaccination and testing was not mentioned, neither was the availability of visas in various countries. Masking is still mandated indoors. Many countries are going to implement testing requirements and/or quarantines if you travel from China: India, Korea, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan Still no word on China issuing tourist visas.
