#1 Post at 2-6-2021 22:56  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Shanghai 'Love' hotel Has anyone ever tried a "love" or hourly rate hotel for an afternoon rendezvous?  Do they even exist in China?  It seems like it would be a cheaper outcall option than booking a hotel for the night.

They scan them just like they do if you are staying in a normal hotel. Some places have theme rooms which are cool and prices varies from places. When i did visit them before the pandemic, most people that use them are locals. At a couple of those places they were shocked a foreigner were checking in.

In Shanghai there are plenty of hotels available - usually those are like motel 168 type.. (not motel 168 as I just given them as an example)… Since I have been here a decade - it’s all started an hour 90 earlier and now stands around 180-250 Rmb depends on location and facilities..

So for the guys who are visiting love hotels; they still accepted you & registered you with the police? That surprises me a bit.

I usually push the girls to book under their ID and around 90% agree for it and then I sneak in and out… As to balance 10%, around 6-7% will be rejected and for balance 3% if the girl is worthy then I will take a risk of using my passport but this all pre covid times… It may sound creepy but for a quick fix sometimes i use Japanese  restaurant which has private rooms

Do you know the best way to search for these?  What are the right Chinese characters to look for on Amap or Dianping or some other search?

Just don’t show up along with her- the rule is she registers and goes to her room and send you the room # and after few mins you go… As to app’s, I don’t use as pretty much small hotels provide this service and sometimes they advertise in digital boards with prices… Mostly look around where colleges are there

#10 Post at 8-6-2021 19:16  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Well, the girl ended up taking me to a building that is a mix of longer term stay small apartments / short term stay rooms.  I saw a shoe rack outside of one of the doors but most of the doors didn't have anything outside.  She said she met (through her other job) someone who owns several units there and so she just pays him on the side when she wants to use one for a few hours and no ID is needed from either of us.  The room we used was basically a ~4-500 a night quality hotel room.  She said she paid him 250 for it. So the 'love' hotel experiment will need to wait for another day. p.s. the girl doesn't want me to post a review so sorry about the lack of details about her. #13 Post at 20-7-2021 23:34  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I saw a lot of short term (4 hour) hotels on dianping, but all of the ones I saw need a Chinese ID to check in and one of the girls I talked to about it say that those hotels tend to be more strict in checking ID than the normal 5 star western hotel that I've brought girls into without a problem.

Most of the times if you are a repeat with a girl; she will get a hotel room at a discreet place and you just go when she tells you to come up. But the foreign girls that are in Shanghai can't really do this; such as the Viet girls you get from Judy's and Manhattans.
