Love hotel checkin process? How does it work?

I need to find a place to meet up with freelancers. I checked out Victoria and the Eden and they seem ok. Do you need an ID to check into these hotels (I am big on anonymity ;)? Or is cash and I can stay 2 hours. Any tips and how to make the best of it if you only speak English?

no need for ID, you can put a fake name when you register ... English speakers shouldn't have any problems unless you ask too many questions

every love motel I've been to including Eden did not require ID, Eden was a long time ago so may have changed but Victoria definitely  does not require
