talking to papa/mamasan's

total newb here. how do you guys talk to papa/mamasan's for HG? do you just ask for the name of the girl? or is there some special etiquette to follow?   like for eg. "hi, i'm looking for [name of HG]. Is she available for [time]?"  <-- is that alright?

Also, i was wondering what you call papa/mamasan in cantonese.... i'm a CBC myself so i don't know a lot of words. Most understand canto right?

Will be grateful for any help given!!

its a shoot in the dark. some understand canto, some only know mando.  some understand english. so expect some to hang up on you, but don't give up & keep on trying. If its too much of a hassel, consider 141 walk up

Here's a related question. You call them on a second phone with a pre-paid SIM card you buy at the store right? Could you insert the pre-paid sim card into any phone without limitations? (Not sure about carrying a second phone around)

As long as your phone is unlocked you should be able to put in your pre-paid sim in your phone and just have it work.

Just call and ask if said girl is available at said time.  If he understands you he'll let you know and if he doesnt he will hang up.  I was luck (I only speak english) and was able to easily book an appointment with More

If the papasan/mamsan can't understand you, try texting.  It may not work, but you're unlikely to lose anything by trying...

the couple of times i've done it, i've just said "hi, im after [name]" if she is available they asked me what time i was after. Both times i said now if possible and got it. simple as that. have fun
