I will be going to HK on the 24th and would really want to check out the scene.  I am afraid, though since I do not know my way around HK and I might get ripped off or worse.  Any suggestions?  or would anyone care to show me around I'll be staying in the MOngkok Area BTW

Was very easy, after reviewing the board I understood the price structure and tipping and did not feel any pressure or uncomfortable at all. The direction on the Dundas 37 page here were very easy to follow and thanks tothe photos of the exterior I knew I was in the right place. I would start with that.

Iwas in the same boat as you my first time - first time ever to HK - dont speak a lick of mandarin or cantonese and I had no problems and felt completely safe.
