What the hell is Black Face?

I think it has something to do with a girl's attitude.  Am I right.  I'm embarrassed to ask but I can't put it in context from the different posts I've read talking about it.

Its the HK Chinese way of saying the person with a black face is angry or upset (most likely with you)

yeah, the mother in law always accuses me of being 黑口黑面 which translates to 'black mouth black face' - always with a angry look.

I think I got that several times from some chicks.  It's like suddenly the chick doesn't want to talk to me because I'm a dork.  Ahh.. it's the "black face" they have.
