I have reached my P.M. messages storage limit!

I checked the forum and I cannot seem to find instructions on how to selectively delete p.m. from inbox.  I do not want to delete all of them.  I cannot read any messages (read and unread) in my inbox because the storage limit has been exceeded.  

Which actions do you advise I take?  

Also how does the archive messages function work?  Will the messages be stored on sex141 or on my computer?

Thanks.  Pressing the Submit button at first seemed so counterintuitive.  I thought there would be a dedicated delete button.
