#1 Post at 22-7-2009 11:46  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L quotes I've just started to use the "quote" function.  I've tried highlighting info further down in a report so that I could reply to that specifically, but instead, only the first two lines of the report appear in my reply (not the stuff I highlighted).  When this has happened, I never press "submit" since it's not in quoting those first few lines so I have simply reset the post and decided not to include a quote.   Am I doing sth wrong?  I know this is a pretty dumbass question giving how long I've been on this forum, but if sb can help me out here, I'd greatly appreciate it.

What's the best way to get a second quote box into the same reply?   I end up opening separate windows and starting multiple quote-boxed replies, then curtting-and-pasting all of the windows into one thread...  or sometimes just copying the box and manually typing in the relevant poster information... Just testing with your reply, but when you click on the quote button, it brings you to another screen with all the previous replies. So in theory you just need one screen and just copy and paste what you need in between as many [quote] and [endquote] you need... unless you really need the "Originally posted by...." portion, in which case you might need to type that in manually the second time?

#14 Post at 15-10-2009 09:45  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #8 asia-play's post Actually, when I saw this thread, my heart skipped a beat as I thought sb had logged in with my name and started a thread.   Only upon closer inspection did I see the date.   In response to CGP's question, if all the quotes come from the one post, what I normally do is (1) highlight the whole post and then copy; (2) then I press "Quote" which then takes me to my reply; (3) then I paste that whole post in the quote; (4) then I copy the quote and paste it x-number of times depending on how many times is needed; (5) then I manually delete the unwanted info from each of those quotes so that each quote contains different info from different parts of the post.  This is what I do.  Probably not the best way, but it is not too time-consuming (though my explanation suggests otherwise).
