I know the moderators really wish to reduce the amount of posts that bring nothing to the forum. They probably spend hours taking away karma from these spammers.
I am pretty sure such spammers when they are very new to the forum do not realize how painful it is. They are just posting something on the forum and probably can not imagine it being painful. They don't realize how many we get to see and how much it breaks the flow of a report or how mad we get because of the time wasted.

I therefore thought showing them our pain in the form of a poll could help them understand how annoying such a thing is. Ideally we would set a "taking the poll RA" of 20 but leave the "reading RA" of 0. But I guess that is not possible. Just express how you feel about the "Great report" or the "Cool, thanks" posts.

I am taking the first vote and it will be "My doctor said useless posts are bad for my high blood pressure"

There are so much fewer of those posts that say 'great post' as there is a thanks button.  I don't know if there are levels there but if so it would be based on how many thanks someone got rather than how many posts someone makes.

  Your vote had a two fold impact:
- You killed the purpose I had initially intended for the poll
    My deseperate idea was that everyone would either say they got blood pressure problems or hire killer services so we can inform "great post" and "Thanks for the report" posters it is not well tolerated to do such posts

- You probably got twiceAweek to sweat again by discussing excellent useful (potential) features
    I think twice (and other mods) have tied hands and can't really change the discussion forum. One of the ideas of this poll was to use existing forum capability to push even further the idea that useless posts should be avoided :-)

Now.. I say you defeated the purpose of the poll.. but in actual fact it was dead already.. you and I are the only ones who ever voted on this :-)

It should read:
"I spend twice the time reading the site because I must switch between pages of useless posts"

Did I already mention I am certain we can come up with better options in a poll with the same purpose? :-)

Another annoying habit is seeing new threads on repeated questions as people are just a little lazy to use the search function

Aah... the "thanks" button! I mentioned this a long time ago, but alas (and as the dark lord's piss said) it's beyond the capabilities of the Discuz engine this forum is run on...

to many useless post's like this one

the briefest glance at the Chinese side of the forum shows what happens when there's no discipline - floods of "thanks" posts, and karma flowing like the niagara falls ... makes the whole thing pretty useless ...

Just to add another common thread reply is "great report, will have to try her/place next time I go there"

Not a big problem for me; I can just scroll by them. What I really hate is when somebody comments on a
post that's more than 1 year old and already dead. I waste my time clicking onto it.  

I tried my best to write 2 reports on the Nookie section, I hope all the high ranked brothers can give me some good support.  Please let me know if you feel my reports are rubbish.
