We punters wander the 141's knocking on doors, checking out the WG, 95% of the time just browsing till we find something we like or settling from the best of the worst.  However there are often times I find WG's at 141 taking one look at me and closing their doors, or just yelling "NO" from behind closed doors even when they have their welcome signs up.

I'm a Gwailo.... so that may have a part to play in their decision to refuse service.
- Are we too rough?
- Are we to big in LB department?
- Do they think we're diseased?
- Are they just racist?
- Did Trump start a pussy trade embargo?

Do some of you ethnic Chinese get refused service on sight too?

As I can't speak Chinese, I can't ask, so I don't have a clue...

WG told me 2 is usually the case, occasionally 1,  and adding language barrier they don't always serve non Asian, that said I know some WG don't serve South Asian as well, some of them attempted running after the service

Happens to me sometimes too. I asked one of the girls this question and she also answered no 2. But one also did mention that some are not clean as well, especially South Asian as mentioned above. So I would say combination of both.

Yes shower is there but I have seen some folks that even after shower misses basic hygiene like manicured hands or feet or just the dress down or smell. I am very well imagine a girl should be able to feel comfortable when offering services. Not to judge anyone but this what I was told, not just in hk but also in Vietnam.

Some WG doesn't want to service Indians or Blacks, because their smell or they complain on wasting their time...

What the WG means is that if service is 45 mins, it should be included in the 45 mins, but they will argue and stated that it is 45 mins after shower, etc...

The other side of the coin is that many Asian guys can't get into Wanchai bars or if they do, they have to pay cover.

TBH, for the WGs that say no, just walk away and don't sweat it. I've been with enough Chinese girls that bitch and moan about me being too big and rushing me to finish, that it made the whole experience a waste of money. Them turning you down before you walk in is a blessing in disguise. Which would you rather have, 5 seconds of frustration or 20 minutes of frustration that just cost you $500-1000?

you should come to usa, all served all.  if your money is green they will serve you.
nyc is a mecca for non Asian punters visiting Asian spas.

I think this depends. For example, as an extreme case to cement the point, in Japan, you will find most foreigners are denied. I think only about 10%, will be willing to serve foreigners there. Shower doesn't necessarily give off that "clean" image in some peoples'/culture's eyes.

This is only a personal opinion, but yea, being a gwailo in HK puts u in a disadvantage, not to the extent as Japan...etc, but still.

Depiction of "being rough", odor,  personal grooming practices...etc in media/movies/literature are all probably factors.

But like others have said, the WG's do have a choice, much like you, to deny a WG when the door opens and your LB says no. Locals do get denied as well, but probably not as frequent. Just don't take it to heart.

Ha! I've not had that but apart from the usual "you so big  baby" lines that I usually assume are designed to stoke my ego , rather than express reality, the petite Thai girl I saw in Phoenix last month did seem to have some genuine difficulties, and at the end told me she'd slam the door next time! It was done with a cute smile, so I'm still not sure if she really meant it, but it sure did make me feel invincible...

As others have said, there are all kinds of motivations, so it's interesting to discuss this possibility and be prepared for it, so you can walk away in a good mood for the next girl.   I like to think that it helps to have a relaxed, friendly attitude (ha! there goes my ego again!). But, if a potential client turns up looking shifty and nervous, I can see how that could put a girl off. Some guys I've seen in those buildings do give off a slightly hostile (rather than the recommended "I'm minding my own business") vibe.  One girl I repeated with told me, "you always look happy", and the way she said it implied that many of her clients were not happy. Which is kind of sad, really... The whole experience is suppose to be fun, after all...

Wise point from ramont that you're much better off not being with those that shot you down cause they're guaranteed not to be too happy about serving someone they'd rather not service.  I am sure that if a WG is desperate enough for money they may overlook their moral compass and serve some someone they'd rather not serve.... could be the reason why people experience terrible punts occasionally.

I'm quite lucky as I'm Asian-American (non-Chinese though) with very basic Chinese skills. In the beginning I have called with just English and have been denied before. I would knock, they would open, I would ask "How much?" and they would just close the door at me. I learned my lesson now, so I just ask in Chinese so they think I'm Chinese.

So I think part of it maybe the LB or perceived cleanliness, but the language barrier must be a factor for some WG as well.

I've actually discussed this with both local "newish" WGs and civvies and often the reply is that...............porn is to blame

A good point actually. They probably rather save the hassle and not deal with the language barrier and possibly end up getting into something they didn't want to do. HK is more of a fast to the point society.

I've been outright refused at the door only once. I've been refused once inside a few times for FS, the girl politely offering another service owing to my LB size.

It's also surely something to do with how you seem at the door... both of you have a couple of seconds to decide... try smiling!

I had the experience a few times.

However I found out that a big smile will usually get you in and google translate and some respect will do the rest. I look sort of middle eastern and I had never felt that being a problem.
