I'll probably book one in Zhujiang Newtown.. just wanted to be sure I can take girls for the night 2. I have an Australian SIM and I'd like to use my Wechat (linked to my Aussie number) when I am in China.. is it possible? How can I do it? 3. Some places in GZ I shouldn't miss? (massage, bars, sauna, etc) 4. ..and some recommended vanilla places in GZ? (restaurants, etc) 5. Where to find some OTR in GZ? WeChat is not tied to a particular phone.  You can log into your WeChat account from any phone with a working data plan.  Unless you plan to get a China SIM card, or pay for international roaming, just use wifi. 3. If you have not be reading the forum, there is currently a major crackdown.  Many places are closed and many places services are toned down. In other words, no extra service is available. To use your Australian SIM, it will be very very expensive because of roaming fees. You can use the seach engine and web for find general info youself. To jacobfresh: I agree with Kaleu, get a China sim card.  You can get internet access on China Moblie. The cost is around: 5 rmb for 30 MB for 30 days 10 rmb for something like 100 Mb、 20 rmb for 300MB 30 rmb I forgot the rest for how many MB. People should be more concerned with personal data being stolen from places using their free Wi Fi than viruses.
