Is this normal for a KTV?

Where I been going I just found out that you can put a "HOLD" on the girls.  The way it works is that the girls are brought into the room in groups that are seperated as to price, status, and ST or LT or just Sit.  You see one you like but hope for better in the next group.  You pick her and she goes to sit at the side, not with you!  Next group you maybe kind of like another, she goes to sit at the side.  You might have seveeral "holds" until you have seen all available.  Keep one or two and send the others on their way.  Normal??

Yes that was normal at all KTVs I went to in Dongguan.

In Macau KTV, you cannot hold a girl for many rounds. My experience is one can hold a girl for two rounds. If you did not pick her after the second round, you would release her. In general I keep her no. If I did not find another better girl in the next few rounds, I would recall the girl by her no. Of course, there are chance that she had been booked by other clients.

You can always "hold" since pretty much, the first 10min or so is free. She sits down, you don't like her, you can release her. So.... If next round you find someone else, then release the first one. So long as you're not an ass and hold like multiple girls for yourself only and keep them around for multiple rounds.
