trip to CP is finally happening in early november. (knock on wood)  bringing some friends whose new to to the china scene.   they are asian but dont speak a lick of chinese.  will have 2 possibly three nights there.  my question which ktvs would you guys bring them if you only had 2 posibbly 3 nights there. i don't want to bring them to the same one twice.   it will be on the weekends.  my thinking so far:    first night-Mayflower-for the shock volume of the number of girls.
                                                                                second night-Eurasia-for being nice n fancy
                                                                                third night- a naked ktv-Versailles if they still are naked or fuhao?

So the CP veterans here. what are your suggestions?  know this is still kinda far into the future but am drooling just thinking about it.

Can't go wrong with Mayflower, Eurasia, and Versailles.

The trip is 5 months away. You should just plan your KTVs depending on the reports you here the day before. Quality in the places you've listed have dropped drastically but it's cyclical.

oh yeah.  i don't think that would be a problem.  we've all been pent up awhile.  i was thinking the daytime activieites would be more like saunas and bbs.  lol.

YES, Good time to go, early November.

1. Weather much nicer, not as hot or cold
2. Canton Fair just ended
3. Air fares are cheaper during Oct and Nov. because it's not consider peek season.
4. Five months to learn some basic Chinese.  

I don't think there are any University Games ( SZ ) or Asian Olympics games ( GD ) this year that occurred in Oct and Nov like previous years.  As a recall, many places in Southern China had to closed down for a few weeks because of the games.

I'm not a CP veteran by any means. But I only have two advice for you:


1. Bring lots of money!
2. Extend your trip for another 10 days.

CP is like a drug. Once you visit CP, it's all over! You get addicted and you want to keep on coming back for more. Once you leave CP, you suffer from withdrawal and keep on thinking, and longing to come back to CP again for another "fix"

So plan accordingly, and give yourself some more time in CP.

I once had two newbies from the states that came up to me in CP on their first day. They said that they had 2 weeks off and wanted to explore and have fun. They said after being in CP for 2 days they will go to HK for 5 days and then Vietnam for 5 days and then come back to CP for 2 more days. I told them....if you want to monger, then just forget about HK and Vietnam and stay in CP or else they will regret it afterwards. When they came back to CP on their last day they came up to me and said...."I should have taken your advice and stayed in CP, Vietnam was a dump and HK was boring and expensive."

I'd suggest that you keep on just reading the "on the ground" reports on our forum as things do change on a dime in China and in particular, in Chang Ping.

I'd say one week, max two, prior is enough lead time for you to firm up your arrangements - as a lot of the clientele does the same; go up one week and make arrangements for the next week. And worse come to worse and things gets too hectic then. you could always rely on the CP agents like your name-sake Big Swingin Dave to get you what you want,

Talking about the University Games! last year it completely shut down all saunas in CA. it was horrible! CP was the only thing running during that time period and all girls in KTVs were in civvie clothing with no uniforms. NO flower Streets either! sucks! Tons of people in Shenzhen train stations and getting a taxi in SZ was a challenge. I just stayed away from SZ completely. Except for when I flew into SZ from Hangzhou...it took me 35 mins in the sweltering heat to get into a damn taxi to get to CP!

A nightmare! But the good thing was, lots of KTV girls were too scared to work at the KTV so they started calling me to arrange appointments and sessions. the only good thing of that time period.

Always check to see if there's some type of major event going on around. you are right!

Hehe.  You are talking to a guy that lost his job once because of mongering in china.  I remembering calling my boss in a MTV telling him I can't make it for another week.  When I came back I was handed my paycheck.   They hired my replacement already.

I'm guessing you meant KTV not MTV right? I was thinking if you were on MTV then i would quit my job as well. LOL!

Well life is short. if you are going to go all the way over, might as well just stay a bit longer. accumulate your vacation days and sick days and combine them.


Your Boss Sucks! it was only 1 week. I hope you made a good excuse like your aunt is sick in the hospital or something. I hope you didn't tell him that you will not be in for another week inside a KTV, with music blasting and girls yelling out numbers for liars dice.

Is the phase 3 canton fair a big deal?    Didn't even know there were 3 parts.  Just thought it was 2.   Anyways doesn't matter.    Plans are made for that weekend already.  

If it was up to me I would stay the whole week in cp.   but my friends are non-Chinese speaker.  Think one guy speaks like kindergarten canto but other bro is Korean.  So afraid they might get sick of it after a couple of days.    So we gonna try to hit Macau and hk too.    Plus we got to take some touristy pics too!

I know I won't get sick of it.  It's been awhile but I've know that withdrawal feeling alltoo well.    It starts on the flight back!   Going there everyone is all happy n chipper and can't sleep.   Coming back we are so depressed no one wants to even talk.

nobody gets sick of CP after a couple of days HK is expensive and Macau is even more expensive. Just stay in CP! have girls fuck their brains out and they won't complain.

wake up--eat--footie--fuck BBS girk--Eat--KTV party--Midnight snack--Overnight fuck session with girl. repeat!

3 days in CP just doesnt seem enuff in my opinion

mayflower i think is a must, given its gigantic flower street
i had good times @ fuhao , it seems like a good place that both new and old skool ktv'ers enjoy
eurasia, yihao, pennisula, manhattan were all ok in my opinion

i had a very very simlar experience to ur upcoming trip
i brought non-chinese speakers and it was a different experience for them than mines
its just not as fun when u cant communicate with any1

i definately think the best situation for ur friends is to do a mix session with BSD
even though i have never used BSD, im sure having an translator in the room as well as other english speakers is gonna be a lot lot lot more fun than without it

Good timing, I think I'll be around during that time too.  I normally try to go at the end of the Canton Fair.  I find that after week 2, the prices really are what they are before the fair.  

I think you got a pretty decent plan checking out CP, HK, and Macao.  Even though for the value conscious, CP seems the clear winner, it's good to see the different environments.

KTV girls come and go, so regardless of what the "hot" KTV is at any particular time, just make sure you get there EARLY to pick the hot ones.  There are hot gals at every KTV, just need to pick em up before they get snatched away.

Three days is not enough in CP. Just to fly over from the USA is about 1 day. Then from the HK airport and customs is another 4-5 hours to CP.  Yes, I would recommend Macau but don't go during a weekend. The hotels are more expensive.

Majority of the mommies speak Cantonese. You friend most likely understands Cantonese more than he speaks. Unfortunately, majority of the girls, don't speak Cantonese and only Mandarin.  Only a very fews girls speak Cantonese and understand a little Cantonese. For English, it is even worst to find a girl that understand English at a conversational level. Most only know a few words.

For your Korean friend, does he know Korean ? There are sometimes ethic Korean girls working in CP. They speak both Mandarin and Korean. Hui Hua sauna, near Starbucks, in CP had two of them last year.

I thinkmimwas gone two weeks and then I decided to stay another week.   Oh well it was worth it!

Entire trip for me is like 12 days.   For them it's only like less than a week.   ( yeah I know that's definitely not enough time ) butbwe're lucky to be goin at all.  I know in the beginning I didn't speak too much mando and while it was fun once it is definitely more fun when you can talk to them.  Language barrier means sex all the time nd whilethere's nothing wrong with that it's more fun if you van take them out goer n do stuff
