From previous threads there some bros mentioned Maggies but that it was not as good as it used to be. Surely, in the size of a city as big as Beijing must have a decent amount of WG/HG. i would not recommend maggies.  i used to live in beijing, and maggies was one of the first places my buddies and i checked out.  i personally think it's a shit hole and that the girls try to run a gong show on you.  maybe it was b/c i wasn't into punting too much then.  either way, i don't have a great impression of the place.

Hi, I've been in Beijing for many years and I can tell you, it's VERY different.  Having said that, there are places and ways (obviously) to find WGs. (aren't there everywhere?)  I am not an expert on the subject, by any means, but have a tiny bit of info that may help.  Never been to Maggies, though it is famous.  Mostly Mongolian and Chinese women there.  Another spot, where I actually have hooked up, is in the Holiday Inn Lido (Lido is an area, pronounced Leedoo, any cab driver knows it...leedoo lu gwan will get you to the holiday inn lido - in fact, if you just say leedoo that'll get you there.  If the cab driver says anything and you don't understand him, just say huh? and he'll end up taking you to the Holiday Inn most likely.  Cab drivers in Beijing are quite honest actually.)  Once there, there is a bar inside called something like the Boar and Thistle or Cock and Balls, some kind of 'pub' sounding name, look around inside a bit and you'll find it.  I'm not sure of the current status but previously there were WGs there.  I took one home for the whole night, sex at night and again in the morning, gf experience, gave her oral and she was sincerely into it, she had only been in beijing for a month and was from Mongolia, pretty, for 800 rmb.  But I speak some Chinese, have lived there for years, and got a pretty good deal.  I think you should be able to get a couple of hours for about 400 to 600, all night for about 1200 give or take.  One thing to remember, Chinese people ARE used to bargaining and it is almost expected.  But don't be cheap, be polite, complimentary and patient and that will get you much further!!!

I would say that there is a slight sexual revolution happening in Beijing though and I think you could probably pick up many women in many bars.  Nowadays, however, I would say it is definitely NOT BECAUSE you are a Westerner but because Chinese women are becoming (somewhat) looser in that area.  The big desire for Westerners has waned some, in my opinion.  Chinese women are not all gaga over Western men as they maybe used to be.  (I've been there for the better part of ten years), but they are not anti Western men either.  A lot depends on your age.  If you are a young guy, go to the clubs all over the city and you'll score, and if you're an older guy, like anywhere, it's a bit more of an act of finesse - or money.

Exactly right.  It's also a nice area for regular bars (not pick-up), restaurants, and galleries in the 798 area, which, btw, has also changed dramatically!!!

One more area worth note, for it's nice ambiance and plenty of bars and women, though not so sure of it's 'pick up' potential (definitely not WGs) is Houhai.  It's a fun and pretty area of restaurants and bars alongside a narrow lake area in central Beijing and there are a lot of pretty girls to be seen.
