Need help. Will 141 girls pick up a foreign number?

Dear all, need help on this. Saw a few interesting WGs that requires one to call to make an appt first.
Will they accept a foreign tel number or do i need to purchase a local sim?

best to get a local SIM
sometimes the dont bother to answer even a local number mush less a foreign number

I'm surely stating the obvious, but if you want to contact before arrival, you could put the number into your phone and see if they have a WeChat or WhatsApp account attached to the number.

I have tried this before, as I wanted to contact some agents to see who is available a couple days before flying over from USA. I was able to call one agent with an American number, and I got relatively helpful info through the call, though this is not very common. Another experience is where I tried to contact with What'sapp, where I was simply ignored until I tried What'sapp again with a local HK sim card after arriving.
