Side note: This post will explain my experience here as well as some insight on why most places in Japan don't allow foreigners. I am a 2nd generation Japanese-American and can speak fluent Japanese. This allows me access that foreigners are usually denied. Since I don't have the language barrier, I can freely talk with the girls and pull information about gaijin access. Additionally, I don't get to monger as much as I like due to my work schedule. So when I do get a chance, I tend to go overboard and visit as many places as my work schedule(and my dick and wallet) can handle.

During my last visit to Tokyo(2 weeks), I visited approximately 15 different pinsaros and soaplands in the shinjuku(kabukicho) and otsuka area. While practically all the places did not allow foreigners, I did find some information about the New Grand Soapland that may help you mongers.

Basic details and a bit of history: The New Grand is part of the Soaplands run by Kadoebi. They run various Soaplands and boxing gyms all over the greater Tokyo area. This particular soapland is located half a block north of the Happy Hinomaru Pink Salon on the same side of the street, so it is easy to find. When I visited a couple years ago(I went twice, just to make sure), it appeared to be a no foreigner place and the girls were subpar. It was definitely not a place I would recommend, even to locals. The girls did not match the photos in a BAD way(although the guy at the counter would warn you of this). The only thing going for it was that the prices were lower than other soaplands in kabukicho and they had upfront pricing(no having to pay an access fee and then being surprised with the girl giving you the rate when you were done, yep I've had that happen to me). Not sure why I went back, but I'm glad I did. Before you read on, let me stress that this place is foreigner-tolerant, not foreigner-friendly. This means they allow foreigners in but may turn you away or restrict you to only some of the girls.

I will go into detail on the start of my visit as it may help you get in a bit more smoothly.
I went on a Thursday night and noticed that they more wait staff, there was a 'bouncer' at waiting at the middle of the stairway he welcomed me and asked if I had a reservation(in Japanese). I told him no and he directed me to the counter at the top of the stairs where there were 2 other guys.(The last time I was there, it was only 1 guy tending the front) They directed me to the waiting room where there were 3 other customers watching TV and reading magazines. I was sat down and asked what drink I wanted. When he returned with my tea, he gave me 4 photo cards with the girls that were available. I immediately noticed that the girls in the photos were far younger(low to mid twenties) and hotter than I was here last. I picked Arisa. The porter then asked for how long I wanted to spend time with her. I went with 90 minutes, paid the ¥30000 and waited about 15 minutes. When I met her, she was exactly as the picture showed and she was pretty talkative and fun. I won't go into details, but she was great(soapup, tub cuddle,BBBJ, nuru/mat play) I ended up going back a few days later by calling in a reservation for a double 70 minute session(this way I got mat and bed time MSOG).

What I did find out from her was that all of the girls there have worked other soaplands and they each bring their own techniques to the table. Even though the website shows that they are new, they all know how to please. It seems like the Kadoebi group has revamped this place from where they kept their old and unpopular girls to where they keep their top performers. She also told me that she and about third of the other girls here do foreigners. But there are some caveats:

1. Foreigners are automatically charged an additional ¥10000
2. The language barrier is what most keeps her from really enjoying servicing foreigners. (Not being able to understand what the guy wants for an hour makes things awkward)
3. Chinese/Korean/Other Asians are more welcome than European/Black guys at this place.
---This is partially because of dick size. She said white guys tend to hurt her and she cant imagine taking a big black dick.(She did have a small, tight pussy)
---She and the other girls didn't like the fact that the white guys generally pull their rubber off to come. (I didn't know this was a thing)
4. Foreigners tend to be too aggressive and won't stop when she says no or stop.(this goes back to the language barrier)

Arisa also told me about a few bad experiences with gaijin she had recently and that she was on the fence on taking any more foreigners even though she did have an incentive of making more money. This candid conversation I had with her, tells me that you guys need to be a bit careful when visiting these places in Japan so that the doors don't get fully closed to the other mongers that come after. Japanese people already have a prejudice against foreigners and bad experiences only reinforce them.

As for New Grand. I wouldn't say this place is a must visit when you are in Tokyo, but if you have some cash to burn, this soapland would be worth your time. Also, Kadoebi is a chain, so some of the other locations might be able to accommodate you. Just know that you might be turned away if they are busy since they are only foreigner-tolerant.

Heh heh, cute combination!

I guess some places were always like this. Nowadays there are foreigner-friendly escort services with English websites offering AV stars. So there's a choice nowadays--assuming you've got the stacks of yen.

1. Foreigners are automatically charged an additional ¥10000

Yeah, well...of course. LOLOL!

2. The language barrier is what most keeps her from really enjoying servicing foreigners. (Not being able to understand what the guy wants for an hour makes things awkward)

Understandable. I encounter this with some PRC providers here in HK, and of course on the mainland. Body language is fine but doesn't cover the entire spectrum.

3. Chinese/Korean/Other Asians are more welcome than European/Black guys at this place.
---This is partially because of dick size. She said white guys tend to hurt her and she cant imagine taking a big black dick.(She did have a small, tight pussy)

There's the Psychological GDS ("Gwailo Dick Syndrome": often the lady's worried and tense, even when pants are still on) and the Real GDS--with the latter, a woman simply can't accommodate despite repeated attempts). And there's also pornography, where guys often have outsized cocks, while female stars are typically petite to make the guys' weiners look bigger.

---She and the other girls didn't like the fact that the white guys generally pull their rubber off to come. (I didn't know this was a thing)

Porn. There's always the "money shot" where guys splurt their semen all over--you'll find this service listed under acronyms like "COF" and "COB"...

4. Foreigners tend to be too aggressive and won't stop when she says no or stop.(this goes back to the language barrier)

And also may be porn-inspired. JAV models typically act like they're not enjoying it ("Yada! Yadaaa!!"), maybe that's part of the appeal for some punters. Fulfilling AV fantasy or whatever.

It would be easier for the rest of us if Western punters prepared to pay an extra 10,000 yen (US$112) on top of the usual fee would refrain from all this, but I'm not sure who's going to Kabukicho and patronizing such places. Personally, I do speak some Japanese and could negotiate a foreigner-tolerant establishment. But I'm not spending ichi-man-en EXTRA for the "privilege"--instead I'd go for a foreigner-FRIENDLY service, as they're out there.

Thanks again.

How do you say in japanese...

Briefly, you don't.

It's not easy to explain, stinkyfeet, but if you have to ask, you clearly weren't born Japanese. Our original correspondent is a second-generation Japanese-American who's fluent. That means he can pass for a local, and good for him (I've known Japanese-Americans who are fluent as far as I can tell, and others who speak zero Japanese--dunno why there's such a disparity...when I say "zero" I mean I was in Japanese 101 with them and my Japanese was as bad as theirs, or vice versa...). He chooses to share his knowledge with us and that makes him a true gent. I hope he'll write more of his experiences.

I describe spoken Japanese as a simple language with complex usage patterns. There are no tones. It has a regular past-tense pattern. It can be easily written using the Roman alphabet...but it isn't, it's written using three alphabets, two of which are syllabic. One of the syllabic alphabets was designed for use with non-Japanese words.

Are we having fun yet? The non-syllabic alphabet is of course Chinese characters, meaning someone who can read Chinese easily will glean much from written Japanese. Except tof the syllabic-alphabet parts. Which is probably a good way to think of Japanese in general: you're only gonna get part of the story.

Learning phrases and simple Japanese sentences will get you a train ticket, and you can say polite things and all that. But it's not gonna get you into a knocking shop.

Just one example: when you ask a question of, say a hotel clerk, and the response is a sharp audible intake of breath, what has he just communicated to you (women won't do this, BTW)?

Here's another: why do you make a special effort NOT to imitate the speech patterns of Japanese women, if you're a non-Japanese male?

And a third: Which level of politeness do you use when describing the size of your dick to a male soaplands 'bouncer' as cupnoodles described him?

Seriously, if you wanna monger in Japan (and I do), consider a gaijin-friendly escort service. You're gonna have a better time. Many reports on this board.
