This decline in sexual activity, identified by a team at the Kinsey Institute in the US state of Indiana, has been attributed to two things. Singles and partners who live apart are separated by lockdowns and social distancing. Those who live together endure boredom and stress from being cooped up together for months on end wearing pyjamas and watching endless Netflix on separate screens. Neither the frustrated aloneness nor the forced togetherness present as aphrodisiacs.

The overall trend has been toward declines in people’s sexual and romantic lives. On average, people are less sexually active now than they were before.”

It seems happening on me too, really less demand compared with the time before convid. Keeping the mask whole day really made me not feeling well even back to home. How about you guys here?

Seeing each other too much over the past few months because of working at home COVID-19 sure didn’t help.  Yes argument more than sex most days and my number of sex time with partner  dropped like some others.  Worrying about the future financially kills the sex mood too seeing so many companies go under.

Very true. My wife feels exhausted and burnt out by home office and homeschooling the kids, and she has a low sex drive.

YES! I have never felt so unsexual as I did during lockdown. In my case, it wasn't because of boredom or the stress of living with my partner 24/7. But I couldn't deal with stress at work, the economic uncertainty, and of course all the general situation. I couldn't even relax and watch TV because of all the news about people dying. So I suppose I have a mental breakdown and it affected my sexual desire.

Despite the stress of COVID and previous social unrest I’ve tried to stay active and lose weight. Don’t know why but sex drive gone way up, orgasms and shots way more intense and last longer. Buuut: thanks to COVID, WFH and previous social unrest life partner sex drive gone way down. That’s how I ended up here.

Living in a pandemic for most people is alot of added stress/anxiety, it adds to the decline of sexual activity. Maybe later in 2021 everyone will make up for it?

Already almost a year after, seems everyone get used to have mask daily and during punting.

I agreed that decline in sexual activity is due to everyone work from home and have less interaction with people. For me, i do feel still a bit suffering but already some improvements compared with last year

I can completely relate. Covid left me friendless and isolated. Event Tinder has proven useless sadly, the matches I do get the other person seems to not be ever able to hold a conversation or doesn't want to
