Trying to add Nuru Spa on WeChat...

So I'm trying to use only my burner phone for punting, and only WeChat as my go to program. I add their number number, and I get to their profile page. But after this, I am unable to send a message to them (I get a red exclamation point, which prompts a re-send message that never goes anywhere) and can't get further than that. They don't get any of my messages, and they are not added to my Contacts page. Other than calling, which is really my last resort, but I don't want that on my call history. And I don't want to use other apps because I heard that the mama-san's notorious at messaging you at inopportune times. Any suggestions?

Don't know about Nura Spa in particular but red exclamation mark can be a couple of things as far as I know:

1. You have been block by the other person
2. Other person doesn't have auto-accept new friends turned on, so they have to actually accept your invite before you can message them

I am exactly in the same situation. Blocked to send them
messages, and not wishing to call or using another method. Have you solved the problem, and how?

For the regular clients to that place, maybe you guys can help us to contact the mamasan to advise her to release her WeChat security setting or accept our invitations to be friends? My WeChat name is as easy as Jeff..

Its actually really easy. I contact them using WhatsApp. I told them not to send me pics but they do nevertheless. So all you need to do is to save them as a contact as a guy's name to avoid any suspicion, then block them on WhatsApp. Unblock when u need to contact them.
