Headed down to Panama for a 5-day live-aboard fishing trip
that circled Coiba Island over the course of 5 days. The mother
ship was one of those Alaska crab boats you see on TV...and it
towed several skiffs that were used during the day.
We ended up spending a few nights in Panama City at the start
and end of the trip. The hotels we booked at the front end were
supposed to be infested with ladies...unfortunately, such a target-
rich environment was not to be found. The casino was basically
empty, and not a WG in sight.
At the back end of the trip, we changed hotels to a well-known US
chain, which had its own casino. It too was a disappointment. The
casino was mostly empty, and no WG's to be seen.
Across the street, there was Habano's Cafe, yet another night spot
that was supposed to be full of WG's. Come nightfall, the bar did indeed
end up full of WG's...Russians and many locals, none of whom floated
my boat...I was quite disappointed...
So I decided to hop in a cab and try the Golden Time saloon. And that
worked out just a little bit better.
Started out with a lineup, and I picked Danyela straightaway. She is
Colombian, and spoke English. The massage part was so-so, the
sex not much better but hey...after 5 days solid of pulling on fish-faces,
any port in a storm works for me...
Repeated the next day...the hotel and casino scene never developed as
described in various review sites. "You shoulda been here last week, when
things were really hopping"...
Overall...fishing in Panama is fantastic...the WG's? Meh.
