Bangkok-Thermae
So my report is going to be less about the punt and more of an opinion on my experience in Thermae.
For all those who still doesn't know, Thermae is a bar at the basement of Ruamchitt hotel on Sukhumvit Road. No ladyboy outside only true ladies Freelancer. Main entrance in the front going down a set of stairs. Once inside, cashier to the left of the door and kitchen tuck in the back. Guys who entered are require to purchase a drink before giving access to the rest of the "shop/bar/pub". No such requirements for the ladies as they come and go.
So arrived at the gate at 2245 at Suvarnabhumi and managed to rushed out to catch the last ARL and BTS to Nana. Booked a one night stay at Ruamchitt using it as an excuses to visit Thermae instead of the usual GoGos. So after checking in and taking a shower, went down to the lobby and used the stairs that is link to the back of the Thermae. Walked to the front and order myself a beer to get settle in. Note this is my first time ever to visit Thermae and it felt somewhat underwelming. So as many experts has posted, you have girls lined up/sitting down on the walls and the back. You do your round and select your lady for the night. Massive pro at Thermae, might've only been me, is that the ladies are passive. They'll wait for you to approach instead of vice versa in GoGo where they will approach you for a drink or to get your attention. The one thing I didn't like was that there was very little space to "hunkered down" to observe the girls. Place was still "packed" at 0130. Only managed to get a place to stand without blocking anybody view was near the main entrance. Did my rounds multiple times before deciding on a girl standing next to the cashier.
Cost was 2000฿ and the deed was done in my room. Must girls are one customer and they'll be done for the night. So everyday seems to be a different adventure. Might come back here every now and then if I wanted a break from the usual GoGo bars. | |
