Beware of pre-paid card scams lol. It may seem like a good deal at first, but my Chinese friends told me to always avoid:

What happens is a new owner would prop up the joint, sell a bunch of pre-paid to recuperate initial investment while building up a client base.  Then the owner will sell off the business to new management, taking the money + his staff and run off to start over again,  while the new owner has absolutely no incentive to provide good service to legacy pre-paid holders.  

This notorious business model is prevalent in all kinds of businesses in China, especially in Saunas and restaurants.

You'll find that a joint that doesn't offer pre-paid are more likely to have consistent quality, cuz they likely operating on long-term.
