What's With the Fake Pics?
I was thinking of trying out a cracker ad over the coming weeks, having never done so in HK. My experiences in NY and a couple other places have been good - the girl was 90% of what her ad made her seem, just slightly less perk tits and maybe some extra cushion that had been photoshopped away.
So I did my usual thing - opened about 20 ads, saved a pic, went to reverse image search. Lo and behold, every single one came back as a famous instagram model or the like. Then I tried 10 more - ditto. I literally only got one exception to that rule (advertises herself as a German lady).
What's the deal? Anyone have a theory? In the US and Canada, the fake backpage ad hit rate was closer to 50%, and almost all of those were the obviously fake Japanese AV girl ads. What about the HK (or East Asian?) market makes it more profitable to fake these things than it is in the West? What makes the markets different? | |
