I second what JTB has to offer. I have a pacsafe slingpack. I keep it with me at all times and my wallet and iPad in there. Material is slashproof as previously stated, but also, all the zippers are tamper resistant and require multiple steps to remove. Granted, if someone really wants to take your stuff, there's nothing 100% theft proof... But these subtle deterrences are fantastic. There is no subtle way to steal your sh*t. So at the very least, you catch them in the act.
