I haven't had a tailored suit ever since I gained enough weight to be able to purchase suits off-the-rack.
I still get tailored shirts though and in my last trip last year I go to this old guy on Landale Street by Queen's Road East. Place is called Sun May Shirts and the prices are very reasonable. He can get shirts done within 4-5 business days. Because he is very old, you will have to go in the morning hours. There are other tailor shops in the area. If you have a SO, he gives you a reasonable excuse to be in area as you visit Wanchai.
Many of the good tailors are old or dead. Many shops farm out a lot of the sewing work to Shenzhen and China. It has become harder to find places that still do work in HK like my old guy. | |
